Plugin for charitable donations

INTERNET MARKETING

I have a physical product sales site. I would like to offer customers the ability to designate a charity for a portion of their sale to be donated to, probably through a drop-down list. Is there a WP plugin for this?

Just to warn you: I remember a case that went "viral" (about a year ago?) on the net about a business that was mixing payments for goods and charitable donations. If I remember correctly, their Paypal account was closed or frozen...

So, I'd re-think that plan.

  Do you have a recommendation? The customer would not really be making the donation. We manufacture scented candles and we as a company want to donate a percentage of each sale to several causes (which we will change each year after allowing customers to vote on which ones to include.) We could just divide up the proceeds amongst the groups but would like to offer the customer the chance to select which one they want their purchase to benefit.

Here is one of such cases I mentioned (with links to the original story).

My advice would be to keep it completely separated... I could also say in my sig that I would donate all the sales proceeds till June 15 to the Relay - but I'd rather not put in danger the cause.

Maybe just a hint on the sales page and then send a follow-up email to a voting page and explain you will donate X% of the sales to the "winning charities".
