Please say what you think of my amazon sites

Hello guys,

I was just wondering if you can take a quick look over my 2 websites and scrutinize them. both of them are for amazon and only one has had sales from amazon.

The first one is w w w.whatisict.(com). This website i created basically to put all my college work onto but then I started to think what if I made it into a amazon affiliate site. So I have put some gaming build up their with some links in them and going to some ICT related reviews of stuff. Just wondering if that would work Non - Affliate posts and Affliate posts on the same website. This website was created in november 2011

The Second website is ww w.projectorreviews2012.(net). This website was created purely for product reviews and has 2 sales so far (£14) which I'm quite please about and I don't touch anymore. It has around 5 pages of product reviews and get around 1k Uniques a month. but I don't work on this anymore just my other website.

So I know it takes time for a website to rank and stuffs and i'm pretty paitent with that sort of stuff. But I just wanted to make sure I'm going in the direction since I know some people on here earn a bomb of amazon.

Any Feedback is appriciated thanks a million!

Sorry for my english, I type super fast and never check spelling
but I'm from the UK

I think the first site looks ok but the second review one needs a bit of work still.

I'm with next on that. Since I'm all about authority sites, I tend to want to build stuff that people want to come back to on their own. I can't imaging you have too many repeat visitors on the projector site.

I do have content out on both of them. I actually prefer HubPages over Squidoo as there are far fewer distractions. The layout I use for HubPages converts well and keeps the moderators off my back, even with my "short" hubs.

I wouldn't suggest making them your primary source of income though.

I don't know how wise it is to have a year in your domain. Will people come to your reviews2012 site when it's 2013 or 2015?

the first one is nicely done, and the colour looks clean, the second is ok too but as someone said above, will you trust a site with year on the name?

    ( adding to the fray). . . .

I agree with my above brethren.

I would also add, to get off the paltry 4% tit of Amazon.

There are other companies like mine who will do fulfillment and kitting for other IM's.

Look at Wholesale Suppliers Directory - eBay Product Sourcing | SaleHoo and Wholesale Drop Ship Products, Product Sourcing and Drop Shipping Supplier | worldwidebrands.com

If you sell product on your website, THAT YOU CONTROL. . .

That customer becomes your REPEAT customer.

Amazon and eBay are a good place to start, and think about the larger picture. There is much larger profit in controlling the transaction. . . and if your next question is, "well an eCommerce site platform costs $$$."

I answer you with: PrestaShop - Build an online store with PrestaShop - Free Open-source E-commerce Software

    My .03!

    Be well all,

        Hey MacMan:

I agree with you, almost! Yes, I share your opinion of the evil Empire, PayPal.

There is an alternative though, and I have seen it as a module in prestashop, you can now offer Google wallet as a e-commerce checkout alternative.

This makes it easy, peazy, squeezy for your customer to check out-and again puts you in control of the transaction, and your customer.

        Pleased to help,

The first site is OK, like the others have said the second site needs some work. To add a little more to your sites, have you considered maybe using a magazine style WordPress Theme? There are some nice ones that offer some unique layout options to give your site an organized look and can offer more content options for your visitors.
