Article Content Question.

I am writing unique content, from 400-1000+ words. I guess its the OCD in me, but I find myself over looking the article's after being published and wanting to make changes.

I proof read them countless times before clicking the publish button. I then skim through them a few days later wanting to change some of the information. By changing the information in the article's(Update the post), am I tampering with Google's ranking system? Am I causing the Google crawler's to get confused?

Should I just set it, and forget it? I know the content is good with information, but in my head it can always be better. Do you guys/girls go through this?

Hmmmm, that is a interesting way to look at it.

I also forgot to include, how much do you link keywords to "Amazon". Do you link every single time you mention the brand? Or just some of them so it doesn't seem over crowded with links?

I don't think there is a writer anywhere in the world who hasn't wanted to make changes on something they've written after re-reading it. You are definitely not alone in that. I'm not sure if changing your published content will affect your ranking or not.

Do what you need to do and stop worrying about what Google thinks.

Exactly! If you're publishing content that isn't stuffed with keywords, spun to holy heck, and actually provides legitimate information and is interesting to read, you're doing everything right -- both for your readers and for Google. But if you get so caught up in what Google wants or what Google will think, you'll forget all about your human readers -- you know, the ones who actually buy your products, sign up for your email list, Tweet about you, etc. Google spiders don't do any of that

Google or no Google, stop obsessing over every word you write. If you're doing good research, writing good content, and letting it sit for awhile before you proofread and publish it, that's all you can do. For every second you spend worrying about your most recent article, you're wasting time that could be spent writing new articles that are going to establish you as an expert and get your name and link out there for the world to see!

I write things many times and think it is perfect. Maybe in a few days I re-read it and pick out parts that need to be edited as I did not explain something correctly.

Absolutely nothing wrong with editing something as many times as you want. Look at Wikipedia, that is edited everyday on millions of posts, things added/deleted or edited.

I think you can only benefit from making changes Google ranking wise, but at the end of the day - you can always do better, higher and faster and most of the time it is just a waste of time. Use your time to create more content to your site which will help your rankings a lot more!
