Fitness niche? amazon/other affiliate sites, lessons learned?

I'm trying to get my wife started in IM; since she's into fitness videos and it's a popular niche I thought it would be a good starting place for her.

Any quick tips/lessons learned on:

+ setting up a review/portal site for affiliate-amazon sales of fitness videos/dvds?
+ being an affiliate for top-selling fitness niche sites?
+ creating your own video content in the niche/member sites?

    1. build list by using solo ads and giveaway report about fitness
    2. build relationship with the subscribers
    3. promote Clickbank products related with fitness niche
