Does it hurt your site if you have 1 amazon user review per product on your site?

Hi guys,

quick question - in your opinion, would it hurt my site and my seo if on my product review site i cut and pasted one user review for a specific product per post?

I would be stating that this review is from amazon right about the post.

Do you think google might not index me for duplicate content?

Thanks!

J

If you are worried about it, don't do it. Besides, isn't it now against the TOS of Amazon to scrape their reviews from the website?

I believe your bigger problem would be Amazon Associates TOS violation.

Why do you want to copy and paste a review off Amazon? The whole point of a review site is to add value to your customers. Why would they read your review and click on your affiliate link when the information is already available on Amazon? It doesn't make any sense.

By all means read existing customer reviews to get a feel of the product (if you don't own it). The best way to sell to a customer is to think like one. When I create a new Amazon review site I think like a customer. What would they want from a site like mine and why should they use my affiliate link?

The best practice is to write the user reviews in your own words instead of copying them from Amazon. You can read the Amazon customer reviews for the product and write down what the users like or dislike about that product. You can also write it as the pros and cons of the product.

This way you'll have a unique content for you review page and at the same time you give your visitors/customers a better overview about the product for them to make a better decision.

You are allowed to display Amazon reviews on your site but it must be via Amazons own api which allows you to display reviews (there are some plugins out there that do this AAAplugin for example) but you are not allowed to copy and paste their reviews directly on your site as that would be a TOS violation.

    Hope that helps

If you want to rank your products with the big players on google page one and enjoy massive traffic you NEED to be creating useful unique content for your reviews.

Shortcuts will get you no where and people with unique reviews will outrank you much easier if you have copy pasted.

It really is t worth your time to copy paste these days, you just won't make it
