Drop shipping advice

Hey fellow warriors,

I've just recently been given access to a lifetime doba membership and I have been struggling with what products to sell. Honestly, I wish I could just throw all their products up on a store and try to get trickles of users searching for different products, but it seems like I need to pick a subset. I'm a programmer by trade, 15 years, so no worries there, I'm just looking for some advice on what products to target, and perhaps some tips from others that might already be in the "retail via drop shipping" business (e.g... don't do it, don't bother, do it, but know these 3 things, etc).

      You want to sell what people are already buying. A good way to gauge the marketplace is to checkout Amazon's bestsellers. Another thing you would want to look into is something people are already buying, and will be buying every month for recurring income.

        try to pick something you have a personal passion for that people are buying - it does help

        Also look at items with at least a $30 profit per sale

        To many people plan to sell dvds or cds online with margins of less than a dollar - really doesn't help you much

        This is a great point. If you want some REAL income, find products people buy all the time, not just when the hype is highest. You won't have to work quite as hard against every other marketer trying to get in on the hype and you'll have a steady income long after the hype is gone.

    Hi,

    Years ago I have tried to work with doba but had very little succsess.
    Not the desired results I was looking for.
    I then learned that doba is actually Not a real dropshipper
    They are the middle man, hence no room for profit what so ever.

    Your better off working with a real wholesaler and get real discounted prices.
    WorldwideBrands.com is highly recommended and used by many resellers.

    Use amazon and browse through the "Best sellers" in whatever category your interested in,
    Get an idea of what they are, that should be a good way to start.

    Doba is appropriate for online store
    you can use the CSV export feature in Doba.
    submit your products to shop online with the CSV.

    Use Google Product Search to bring in buyers

    For me, i will create something like a groupon site or penny auction site to sell my products. This create urgency and you can select 2 or 3 bestsellers products type in Amazon or eBay.

    You could also use Pinterest or instagram to promote your product and generate good traffic from there.

    You could use eBay pulse to find out what items that buyers are looking for...

    For the starting point, don't make the site first. Create a listing on eBay and see how the product's sales.
    If the sales are good, then you could build up the online store and promote the store using Adwords Display Network.
