What's a good conversion % for Amazon, when you get customer to Amazon web site?

Looking for larger sample sizes..

A few years ago when we could market amazon products through Youtube I was getting about 12% conversion rate though that was through very targeted video creation. From my websites I used to only get about 5%.

Not been promoting Amazon for a few years now though...

For me, it is converting just 3%!

Typical conversions generally run 3% - 5%. Some do much better. Others worse. A lot depends on the product you are promoting.

I'm around 5% conversion but I'ved learned to be pin point accurate with targeting but it never ceases to surprise me when I earn commissions from strays, far removed from the niche ..... a contradiction in terms to my pin point targeting!

A few weeks ago I was promoting Mother's Day gifts and earned commissions from male products, so the bloke is looking for gift ideas for mothers day and treats himself en route!

    Hey guys,

Just so I know, what is your definition of conversions? Is it:

    - sales/click throughs
    - sales/visits to your site
    - sales/page views on your site

    Thanks.

Wouldn't sales/traffic be a better indicator of conversion?

Thanks everyone...I was thinking Sales/Amazon Clicks, so we are on the right page.
when I earn commissions from strays, far removed from the niche .
and that is definitely part of the equation....

My is 4% but varies depending on the item. The good thing about Amazon is that through your links people end up buying anything.

My conversion rate for last month was 'Conversion 13.04%'... However I doubt it will remain as high as that, I have no clue as only been on it for a few months now, but I would expect 5% or so maybe.
