First Squeeze Page - Feedback Welcomed

I've been doing different forms of IM for a little over a year now but have been specifically focusing on affiliate marketing recently. This is my first attempt at a squeeze page and would love to hear any feedback on how it could be improved before I start doing heavy promoting.

I created a video squeeze page for some SEO software I had developed that analyzes keyword competition in Google. Right now the video is hosted on YouTube but I'm open to ideas on how I can make it more professional.

Keyword Inspector: Free Keyword Analysis Tool | Learn2Rank

Please let me know if you see any opportunity to improve my conversion rate and maximize opt-ins.

Thanks!

    As far as design goes:

I'd spend more time harping on the benefits of your product though. You tell them what it does and a basic overview of why they need it; but to really make them want to submit their info you need to tell them exactly what problems your tool will solve. Don't assume they just know.

Okay, you want honesty right? Here goes...

The page itself if fine for lead capture purposes.

The video sucks and if it were mine, I would get it re-done. The reasons the video sucks?

    1. The narrator talks waaaay too fast and doesn't enunciate very well. You can't understand some of the words he is saying (It's sort of like the guy talking at the end of those car or insurance commercials you hear on the radio)

2 . The graphics you show on the video scroll so fast they are blurred to the point that it's hard on the eyes. This makes the video VERY unappealing.

Overall, it looks like the person who made the video tried to stuff two and a half minutes of information into a one minute time slot.

My last bit of advice... you're going to lose a lot of people when the video comes to an end and the Youtube "related videos" pop up. If you're going to host the videos on Youtube to save your own bandwidth, there's a plugin available that will allow you to stop related videos from appearing. It will also allow you to remove Youtube's logo and link and add your own logo instead. The plugin is available as a WSO and it's a smart investment in your business in my opinion.

I agree with the above. I think you can stop the related videos from showing up by just checking "do not show related videos" when you are getting the embed code.

I'd rather see a 10 minute video than this one as it is just too fast.

design is ok, but a bullet list of benefits for people would make this much stronger

There is a plugin that can hide all the Youtube branding and controls. You will bet $100 its not a youtube hosted video

Yeah, ditto this and what the others have said. Your video needs to grab your visitors better.

Design is neat! You will do much better selling the benefits than the features - the big mantra of any promotional material. Moreover I would suggest you try a layout which has the opt in form above the fold for on the face advertising. Personally I have had better opt in rates with that kind of an arrangement.

        Cheers

Thanks for all the feedback, I'm going to work on getting a new video created and make sure it doesn't have YouTube related videos. Do good squeeze page videos generally add a noticeable boost in conversions?

It looks very clean, but my advice: put the opt-in form above the fold. If I were you I'd work it in some form of column or wrapping thing, but having to scroll down to enter your details (and see the "Get Access Now!" button) will probably decrease your conversion.

You NEED to buy a professional video player to put on your page, don't just link from youtube that's sketchy.

There are plenty of great amazing looking video players even for sale as WSOs

In addition to the other things people are pointing out here, if the purpose of getting their email address is to email them things, I would recommend re-structuring the page to explicitly making the offer be along the lines of "To get this software, all you have to do is subscribe to my SEO newsletter - you can unsubscribe at any time, but your very first issue will contain all the download details and some additional cool tricks you can do with this free software..."

That's the part everyone leaves out of squeeze pages is setting up the expectation of getting more email as part of the offer.

    Hope that helps.
