I realize this kind of email title have higher open rate

Hey Guys,

I realize this kind of email subject title will have higher open rate:

1. Short and simple
2. Don't uppercase every single words
3. Don't capitalize each words
4. Don't use spam words like Free, Guarantee, Save $ and so on
5. Curiosity title always work well, but don't over hype
6. Questions or messages that require a respond
7. Have the right mindset like email to you buddy or recommand something good to your friends.

Do you have any add on? Or is these good enough?

Thank you!

    Curiosity is the biggest one.
Your subject is your headline. And if you can't attract a reader with a title - your copy is useless.

One of the winners for me was the subject that begins with "Get.."
ie. straight to the point, here's what you get.

Ensure your subject line is on point with your message. For example, we get emails all the time with the subject line:

Item #1- Notification of Payment Received

DO NOT use deceptive subject lines unless you want a ton of unsubscribes.

lol I crack up whenever I see all of those
deceptive marketing. These people have no
clue on what it means to pre-sell.

    Clueless.

You have some good guidelines there. The
main thing is to either "ebb into the flow"
    or to Pattern-Interrupt them.

For example, you could sound conversational
and blend in like a personal friend.

Or, you could be just shocking... Out of
the world. Just bizarre, unpredictable and
newsy. Almost impossible not to click.

Nice share Steve! I always get very high open rate while using questions in subjects.
But at times things which work for one type of list doesn't work the same for another niche list.

Emotional triggers work best coupled with being secretive i.e. hiding what you're selling/giving away to build curiosity.

What has always worked best for me is being upfront too i.e. "Free Traffic Generation WP Plugin (Hurry up & download)"

As apposed to "Two Crazy Scientist Turned Marketers Discovered This Weird Traffic Generation Loophole"

Different stuff works for different lists.

Yes, I do some research and get some feedback from others internet marketers, and at the same time also keep tracking the open rate with different subject title.

I agree that curiosity is an important factor when crafting your headlines. I also think that 'FREE' is a powerful word if you use it right.

I agree, short and snappy subjects work really well.

Actually, the biggest CTR I get is from emails is also by duplicating the subject line inside the body as a clickable link.

    For example:

    Hey guys,

    You might find this interesting:
    Subject Title as Link

    See you soon,
    Mick

    ---------

When the subject title includes a reason why it's improved my open rates and click through rate.

My reasoning on why short emails work well is because if a subject title is strong enough for them to open the email it must be strong enough to make them click a link with the same title.

On the surface this might result in lower conversion rates if you're sending them to a sales page because there's no pre-sell involved but (in my experience) it's offset by a higher CTR, so a higher number of sales overall.

I tried to use "What the #$%@#" as subject line. But to my surprise is the open rate is very very low...

Good list. You should also use some perusasion psychology and curiousity in the list. They help a lot and are proven copywriting techniques. They have a really nice open rate when you use them too.

Hey, if you are able to build relationship with your subscribers, no matter what kind of email you sent, they will definitely open your email.

Just like if your family members / friends send you an email (no matter how late is it, or how good is the title is) definitely you will open it right?

That's how it works. SO START BUILDING RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM
