This forum is so slow this can't be my computer it has to be WF..

Look ok I know this isn't my pc because this has been going on since the day I came here, some days it just happens once or twice, other days it happens ALL DAY LONG. The reason I know its not my computer is EVERY OTHER FORUM I go to works perfectly fine.

Is it issues with bandwith? Does warrior forum need donations because I'll help? I mean you would think WSOs would give this forum enough speed to be rock solid stable, but its not.

It is slower than a turtle on most days. Pages freezing out, threads timing out, it never seems to end.

Paul Myers I'm NOT trying to insult your forum, I LOVE warrior forum, I am very much indebted to this place for all the help I've got, but I feel like I have NO CHOICE but to start posting on other marketing forums just due to how slow this place is. Do other members complain about this?

Again, please don't get angry with me, but I can't explain how many posts I have lost due to this.

I feel like its happened at least a thousand times since coming here. Plus I can't imagine how many people have just outright left this place due to pages always timing out.

Other people HAVE TO BE HAVING THESE ISSUES? Please tell me its not just me because I'll feel like an idiot right now.

All I know is it just happens here, so thats why I'm confident its WF and not my own computer.

For people who are members at other forums, do you notice a neverending slag on here? Things always moving super slow?

I have issues every single day losing posts because things freeze out. Its got to the point where I automatically have to copy everything just encase the page freezes when I press submit.

How many other people feel like they have problems posting on warrior forum at least once a day?

Thanks - Red

    LOL..

I have random bouts where I can't access anything or it's a database error or something. It may help if you clear your cache and cookies for some errors, but a forum this size with this kind of traffic is very demanding of the database and makes the server work hard. Most days it works perfectly fine for me.

On a serious note, I thought it has been doing fine since the last hang up. It's not a lack of resources and definitely no donations are needed lol!

It has more to do with Vbulletin having a few issues that never were dealt with by the people that created it and we constantly fight them. We also have a few vb mods that may be causing us issues as well.

I used to run a very active forum a while ago... nothing near the amount of members here on WF. I did everything I could to improve performance, but whenever I had about 1,000 people online I'd have some issues.

There are a lot of unnecessary database queries with vBulletin... but that was quite a few years ago, I'm sure things improved drastically! There is a lot of code involved with vb forums with all the mods and the core code. Nothing can really be done about that because each new update includes new things and new mods can create new problems. It's an ongoing battle and a tough job to take care of.
