When to post a Warrior for Hire (or WSO) thread

I know I've read on here, or somewhere else, that there are certain times of the day that are best for posting a warrior for Hire or a WSO so they get the most attention. I can't seem to find the thread, does anyone have any insight on this? I'm looking to put something up later this week.

Also, should I do a Warrior for Hire first or a WSO...Or both (for offering my writing services) What are the advantages of one over the other?

Thanks for any help.

Michael

  • Seatbelt99,

I can answer your first question.

Therefore, check out these slew of threads:

site:Warriorforum.com "best time to post a WSO"

However, I can't answer your second question as I've never posted neither.

    Good luck!

    Cheers,

2:00PM Eastern Standard time. You want to go live on the 16th second of that minute. No sooner, no later. If you screw it up, you're done.

I've posted a couple of WFH threads so far. The first one didn't get any attention at all, but I blame that on it being on a very limited subject that no one wanted. The second one I bumped last night, so it's technically been posted twice. I posted it first back last weekend...I think it was on Monday (Memorial Day). It stayed on page 1 for a few days and got a decent amount of traffic, but here lately it's started picking up customer reviews, and that seems to ad even more traffic to it. I bumped it last night to get it back to the top (following the rules of course), but I think I should've planned better and waited until Monday morning again.

Here's a free tip for you: Make out your ad and submit it a day or two before you want it to go live. It has to pass through a moderator to get approved, and that takes 4-6 hours in my experience. It won't go live until you pay for it, so I think you can time it perfectly so that it's live when you want it to be.

Also, should I do a Warrior for Hire first or a WSO...Or both (for offering my writing services) What are the advantages of one over the other?
There's a big difference in the two. WFH is literally what it sounds like. You are advertising yourself as a Warrior who is able to be hired by others. WSOs are special offers. You have to post a lower price in the WSO forum, so I don't think it makes sense to do both for services.

I do plan on doing WSOs (later this month), but they're not going to be for the services I'm offering in the WFH forum. I personally wouldn't do the same thing in both...you may have a different marketing strategy mapped out, though.

Warrior For Hire is cheaper and your listing will last longer - a WSO costs more and will get more views, but will be off the first page very quickly. They both have their advantages and disadvantages, the only way to see which is best is to test them for yourself.

For a writing service I'd be more inclined to post in the Warrior For Hire section though - that's where most people go when they're looking for a writer.

A WSO will stick on the front page for 6-8 hours at most. For hire is most often used for services such as writing. That's where I would look for a writer.

I just launched a WSO that is service based, but I also put it in Warriors for Hire. They are both getting attention, but it's for graphics ... not writing. If you've got the extra $40 to burn, test it out.

I don't believe there is such thing as posting at the right time. Even if you know that the most people are online on Monday at 7AM New York time, doesn't mean that you make the most sales there, because:

    -more people know about it
-the more people are online, the faster your WSO will disappear from the first page

The best you can do is to invest effort into GREAT products, great marketing, and marketing through the right sources.

My experience of this one is that the best time is during the weekend.

Although there are fewer people using the Warrior Forum, there is far less competition from other marketers posting and bumping WSOs, which can give you greater visibility.

The worst time, incidentally, is a Monday morning. WSOs move down the ranks so fast at those times to become almost invisible.

The other hint I have to offer is that you should always vary the time you bump WSOs. That means they get in front of different audiences, depending on which part of the world is most awake at that time.

I hate to sound like a broken record but there is no formula for this... no matter what anyone else tells you. The best time to post your WSO is when it's ready to launch. Simple as that.
