How do I drive traffic to my website?

I hate to say it Double J, but this question has been answered a thousand times over already. Take a few minutes and just read the other posts in the forum, and play around with the search feature (right up under your name, top right corner of the forum) and you'll get more answers than you know what to do with.

There's a million and one ways. Like they said, use the search, but here are also a quick list of the sources that come to mind:

SEO Ranking for a given (often long tail) keyword
Paid traffic (Microsoft AdCenter, Adsense, and others)
Buying direct ads which are generally paid per time/per K impression

Those are basically the top 3, and most techniques fall into one of those three.

I assume you mean you want to use paid traffic to get visitors quickly, seeing you are already doing your SEO work.

You can use PPC traffic (expensive)
CPV traffic (much more affordable)
Solo Ads (use a list of buyers who have bought products similar to yours at approximately the same prices)

As mentioned above, do a search of these topics.

I find writing articles in EzineArticles is a great way to reach people JV Giveaways are another very effective way to reach people. I use Craiglist to advertise my website and I find it excellent.

The best way to drive traffic is SEO and simple marketing like Forum sigs and Article Marketing. They pay off in the long run. But if you want fast traffic then go for PPC. It depends on your budget though.

You can drive organic traffic with tried and true methods; article marketing, Web2.0 creation, social bookmarking, social media etc. You just have to make sure you have selected the right keywords and can compete.

  The name of the game for you know is consistency and back linking. You should use the social media to help syndicate your content. The more the word spreads the better. Also, you should get some back links from this forum. The key is to get as many links pointing back to your site as possible. Good links.

Get those keywords ranked. social bookmark them and send some backlinks to each of those pages.

The paid solo ads are a great start. Use that one to build your list. BC thats your # 1 asset!

You only have to promote it, the way you prefer and feel that you can do better. You can try do forum posting or blog commenting. If you can create good videos then upload them on youtube and metacafe and add your link on the description.

SEO is also a very good way to drive traffic to your site. Basic SEO is a must for a site (meta tags: keywords, description, title, owners' name e-mail even address etc). With SEO you will get traffic from search engines which is giving encourage to the most webmasters.

For Clickbank products, you could do get the traffic with Free and Paid method.

To get Free Traffic, you could do:
1. SEO
2. Youtube Marketing, create video, rank it, and link the video to your websites
3. Forum Marketing, link the signature with your websites

Paid Method
1. Buy adspace through Buy Sell Ads
2. Advertise on website that related with your niche
3. Direct link the ads with your clickbank products/ your websites

SEO is getting more difficult for this review sites, unless you are chasing very low competition keywords. But there are lots of other ways to get traffic that don't involve Google - I've had great results with Yahoo Answers, and there are many other ways to get free traffic already mentioned above.

The secret is to diversify - get traffic from lots of different sources, so it is much less likely to take a hit.

There are tons of free traffic generation methods and if you search WF you will easily find lots of them. However, to me free methods are only superficially free, as you spend heaps of time to generate it and results are often mediocre at best. Quality SEO or paid media are much better and certainly much more effective and faster options.

A lot of Internet Marketer outsource their work like Articles and blog. They outsource what they are weak at and focus on what they strong at to drive traffic to their website. Some of them are rich enough to buy big volume of Solo Ads, Banners, advertisement, etc. Want to step into IM career doesn't mean you must have a lot of money. Most of them are very successful with free traffic but it takes longer time.

Unfortunately the terms 'good traffic' (targeted to your niche) and 'fast traffic' usually aren't able to be used in the same sentence. You must be certain that you have done sufficient keyword research to effectively target the product you are promoting, and then there are several 'effective' methods to drive good traffic to your 'Presell' page.

My traffic sources are:

1, google (seo is a pain but worth it)

2, twitter

3, youtube

4, Facebook

5, forum signatures

6, private ads

These are pretty much my go to sources of traffic and once you know how to use each one its very easy to get traffic on demand!

So I would recommend searching this forum for strategies for each one of these as they've done very well for me over the years just don't make the mistake I did and focus on one because if that strategy stopped working your traffic stops.

consider the usage of blogging, articles writing, joining other additional forums and doing solo ads to get a substantial list of subscribers.. this way u can continue to sell to ur list on your affiliates products and other adds on in the future.

There are many ways of driving traffic, there is no right or wrong way or the best way etc.... it's all about testing different strategies and seeing what methods bring in alot of traffic. Below are a few free and paid traffic strategies:

free methods:

Forum
Article - on your own site.
SEO
Facebook
Press Release
Videos
ebook syndication

Paid methods:

ppc
facebook ads

these are just a few i have mentioned there are alot more such as podcasts etc but depends how heavy you wish to go, but above all remember to build your list, after that you wont need to worry about traffic to much then.

In order to bring some traffic to your site, you need to promote it. People need to know it is exists in order to visit it. Try to promote it to social networks, if possible create videos and upload them on youtube, do some blog comments and forum posts, just try not to spam other websites.
