Wordpress, go to Option> Writing> Update Service.. (yeah right?)

INTERNET MARKETING

Login in to wordpress> Option> Writing> Update Service and add a list
of web-sites for pinging...

I've seen these instruction all over the internet, but can't find the "update services" tab anywhere in my wordpress blog.

Anyone had a similar issue?

If you are using WP from a free blog host provider like wordpress.com, you do not have this feature. This only works in self hosted WP installations.

  You can also try downloading WPAU (wordpress automatic update), it walks you step by step through the process and automatically handles it for you. Not sure if it would work on a free host but it's free to download, so you can try it out.
