How to Make Affiliates Beg you to let them Promote your Product.

I saw another post asking about how to get affiliates to promote your products and so here I am providing a blue print for you to get Massive amount of affiliates to promote your products.

I can almost guarantee that when you implement these techniques, affiliates will be begging you to let them promote your product.

Dont trust me? Please do.
These techniques have already been used by one of the best marketer around and when he used these techniques,it drove a Massive amount of affiliates who started to promote his product like crazy.
In fact, within a week, the product soar to the top 10 hot products or the top 10 high gravity products list and started getting even more affiliates.

Okay, enough Suspense now.
The marketer who implemented these techniques was Travis Sago and the product that I am talking about is "Magic of Making Up"

I am a big fan of Travis and whenever he posts anything in the wealthy affiliate forums I make it a point to read it and even bookmark it for future reference.(yes,Travis is a member there and regularly posts in the forum. I have made it a point to read his posts and it is the reason that I am making more sales than I could ever imagine.Enough said.)

So,when Travis launched his product and was gathering affiliates,I was Watching what he did and the techniques that he was using.
This blueprint is about copying Travis and about implementing the techniques that he used.

Before we begin, there are 2 things that you need to be careful about :
1. Your sales letter must convert well. Nobody wants to promote products which dont sell. Affiliates will stop promoting your product if they find that they are not getting sales.

2. Your product should be good. If people dont like your product, your refund rate will be very high and affiliates are watching that too.

Now we come to the part :
How did Travis manage to get affiliates?

Here goes :

He gave affiliates what they wanted - Affiliates wanted a niche, a product which would sell like crazy and Travis gave it to them.

Travis told affiliates that he was leaking a niche which could help them to get lots of affiliate sales. (Would the affiliates want to know what this niche was? Of course! And considering Travis's reputation, they would be ready to pay for it too)
Now this doesn't mean that you have to be a big time marketer to do this. His reputation helped him because the affiliates knew that his product was good and that his sales letter would convert.
Other thing is that Travis know how to press a person's hot buttons and he did that beautifully when gathering affiliates.

He told them that this niche were full of desperate buyers.( Affiliates are already getting tempted now)

He told them that he had written the sales letter himself and it was converting like crazy.(Now, please keep in mind that Travis was not lying here. The other point is that people knew him to be a great marketer and he always manages to press the hot buttons of people. Therefore people just trusted him. They trusted him that this product was converting well)

He also told them that he was getting sales from this product within hours of getting an article published on ezinearticles (Now affiliates will be ready to kill to promote this product and would write dozens of articles to get traffic)

He made the affiliates to optin to his list to know about this niche.Keep in mind that he was also giving them low competition keywords which would help them to get good google rankings and thus sales. (This just makes it a no brainer for affiliates who would be seeing dollar signs in front of their eyes.)

If I remember right, Travis's product shot to the top of the Top 10 hot products list.(I saw this in the wealthy affiliate members area, where we get to know about the latest top 20 hot products )

What do you think happened after that? After seeing this product in the top 10 list, lots of other affiliates jumped in to promote it. Now, he is also providing these affiliates with plr articles which they can rewrite and submit to article directories or make squidoo lens, etc, etc. I am still receiving daily plr articles related to Magic of Making Up.

How many product owners do this? The amount of help that he provides affiliates is awesome and the gravity of his product reflects this.

So the point of this post is - Travis provided the affiliates with a product that was known to sell well. He gave them keywords and even articles which would help them get traffic. In short , he provided them with a ready made business where all they were supposed to do was to write articles and put it in ezinearticles and they were getting plr articles too.

He kept providing tips and also told them how other affiliates were getting a lot of sales. This proved as an inspiration to other affiliates who got motivated and started writing even more articles.

If you are able to implement all these techniques and if you are able to provide affiliates with a benefit, your product will be getting a crazy amount of sales in no time.

I am sure there are other techniques to get affiliates too, but this was one that seems to be so simple to implement and the results are Amazing.

Hope this helps you guys to learn from one of the best marketer around here.

Bye,
Faraz

Yes you are right. To find out your convert rate you need to make some PPC experiments. Make different sales letters. Test which gives the best result then refine the best text further. If you achieve more than 2-3 % convert rate then you have a good chance to gain affiliates.

      Hi,

This is good advice, but as with SO many case studies, you HAVE to point out special circumstances.

      1. Travis gave away a system that was so well delivered, he built a huge list of people, he created massive goodwill and the name of it is now synonymous with article marketing.

      2. He then (kind of) repeated the system by creating massive goodwill from his postings at WA (as pointed out by yourself).

The points you made are good, but if anyone wants to precisely emulate the results from Travis's CB product they would need to emulate those things as well.

He spent a ton of man hours (years?) creating all of that goodwill and that huge list of subscribers. To ignore this would not be wise. At one point, it's probably fair to say that he had the most goodwill towards him, from the lower end of the IM spectrum, than has ever been experienced before or since.

He gave affiliates what they wanted - Affiliates wanted a niche, a product which would sell like crazy and Travis gave it to them.
That is simply NOT the full story.

Ofcourse, I agree with you that Travis's goodwill had a role to play in this .
People trusted Travis and as soon as he said that promoting His product could be the best thing for them, affiliates jumped at the offer.

Ofcourse, other unknown marketers wont get the exact same results as this one but even copying the remaining techniques would help them do a lot better .

Just notice how he used the term "Leaking" when he said that "he was Leaking a niche which could help them make 300$ per day". He has already got people interested. He has made them curious to know the secret niche that he wants to leak.

What I see here is some brilliant Persuasion techniques in play. Just notice how he pushes the hot buttons of his prospects.

Notice that his prospects are marketers who are spending a lot of time looking for hot niches that would get sales like crazy. That would help them to make a hec lot of sales.

Just imagine what would happen if people saw the same offer in a wso. I mean the exact same offer with the name Travis removed. Dont you think people would be willing to promote the product? Most of them would at least be willing to give it a try and there is a high probability that the person would get a lot of affiliates although not as many as Travis would have.

I dont know if people here remember it, but Travis had also posted a free wso here with the same offer(Read same Persuasive skills and copywriting) and people jumped at it. Would other lesser known marketers get at less 50% of the results that Travis got, if they had given a similar offer. I am almost ready to bet.

I am feeling this is a kind of Mass Control in Action.

If you just leave aside the Goodwill of Travis Sago. If for a moment, you forget the Brand name Travis Sago and look at what's going on. You will some excellent persuasive skills and lots of Brilliant copywriting. This is what we are supposed to copy and learn from.
Of course the offer should also be genuine and should help the affiliates to make money.

Compare this to another product owner, who had posted a wso offer looking for affiliates.
I was willing to give it a try and I wanted to know more about his target market and the kind of keywords that I should be targetting. But you know what. He declined to give me the information I wanted.

He told me that " I cant reveal my keywords to you" . Do you think I promoted his product? I didnt even look at his product after that. How many affiliates do you think he would have got with that kind of attitude? Maybe he was thinking that his affiliates were competing with him. He wanted to keep all the information to himself and let his affiliates struggle to make sales for him.

On the other hand Travis revealed a lot of keywords to his affiliates, he gave them plr articles, he gave tips on how to presell better. He kept them motivated.
And then he let his army of affiliates promote his product. Kind of a win win situation.

Of course, it is tough to build a goodwill like Travis, but lets just learn from this whatever we can.

    Hope this helps.

    bye,

when he had this in wso, i got in immediately

the result was awesome, yea i noticed as well, it jumped up to the 1st page

to add a small point to this,
is to lure the affiliates with attractive prizes and opportunity to promote their products to your list

Good post. As an affiliate in the past, I can tell you that I looked for products that were well supported through various tools and an ability to contact the owner of the product.

    Glad you liked my post.
If you just implement these techniques, you are sure to get affiliates and sales too.
I think all marketers need to work on their persuasive skills and copywriting too.

    Good luck.
