Does traffic exchanged really works?

Can it really create sales? or just bring other visitors (ie. website owners) to my site who mostly also want to sell their products / services.

    I personally don't like traffic exchanges as I don't see them adding any value. Think of it as two magazines swapping subscribers. Would the readers of a fish breeding mag enjoy one on baseball?

    The best advice is stop traying to get "traffic" and focus on finding and getting your offer in front of your potential customers.

    For the most part traffic exchanges, much like safe lists, are populated be people more intereted in racking up enough points to promote their own offer, rather than look at yours. On the other hand, most of the members are in the IM arena, so if you do have something compelling with broad appeal to the IM crowd, you might do ok with it, but I tend to thing your time and effort will be better spent writing articles, Hub pages, etc. You can spend way too much time clicking on other advertisers stuff trying to get points. Perhaps the biggest danger is that you will come across offers that distract you from your current tasks and goals.

    It still can work if you have a nice simple squeeze page where the optin is in the top half of the screen. Dont expect anyone will read if you have a long sales page
