LCTA, a company that provides oriental and alternative medicine training reported a 100% increase in site traffic over the last few months and Hot Courses - an established online course directory in the UK - has reported website traffic is up 250% so far this year while actual course inquiries are up 56%.
Both attribute the increase in demand to the credit crunch and associated job losses. People are looking to protect themselves, re-tool and diversify.
