Please Critique my first Clickbank Site

Hello

Please check out my site and please list out any kind of bad/good things you see on my site.

Critics are welcomed.

I have installed the Getresponse form on it...Till now NO one has subscribed to my email list

I get around 15 to 30 visits a day (Not sure if they are real visitors as noone is subscribing)

Its a new site so I am trying to rank it.. Ofcourse I am making it an authority site...

Let me know if there is anything that I should change..

Nice..I like it a lot in fact.
The woman that smiles (second pic -a smiling face and u see the teeth)- can you resize the picture? It is weird looking.

Also you might want to add an earnings disclaimer just to be on a safe side. Use WP legal plugin or such.

The "Smile with confidence" ads, the rectangular one, appears too much. It appears in every post. The ads make the users think that you just an affiliate marketers that trying to make a lot of money from them, not an expert that could solve their problems.

So what do you advise? Should I just have 1 banner in the sidebar?

The banner needs to get shot of the "first aid" bit, you are promoting cold cures, not bandages.

Make the pop up way slower, it needs to be around 25-40 secs AFTER the homepage has loaded... why? some connections are super slow and it annoys if it is there as the page loads.

Get a background pattern, that matches the items you are trying to get your visitors to click to buy/learn about, EG: some examples of the products etc

Good effort for your first one, keep focused, tweak it as much as you can, as often as you can and use it as a development test bed website for your next ones, take the positive, working elements of this site and start another one

    Well done!

    Seriously?

Ask yourself ALWAYS -- WHAT PEOPLE EXPECT TO FIND AFTER THEY CLICK TO MY PAGE?

There is nothing which made me wanna read more. Just a bunch of links to other pages or posts (with thumbs).

You should get those 3 areas (recent posts, information, remedies) into a site desing with a CONTENT part above the fold, then below that 3 blocks with the infos you have now on your page.

People arriving on a page expect to get information about the issue they clicked on a link somewhere.

If you ain't give them relevant content, and just a bunch of pics and links to go to another page or site, they will close your page in 1 seconds max.

Get Analytic's to check bounce rate NOW, and after you switched to a better site desing, some like those from this WSO here http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...days-left.html

Have no affiliation whatsoever with him, OK.

I like that you are trying to build a list...that is a good thing. Personally, I think you are giving your visitors too many options...they might get confused.

I would have a full blog post start right under the header, and in that post try to mske an emotional connection with your website visitors...remember, you need to reinforce the reasons people want to get rid of a cold sore, and offer your product as a solution to those problems.

The design itself is fine in my opinion...just write a blog post (and make it sticky) on the homepage as opposed to giving your audience too many options.

I agree that that the site is too busy. An annoying pop-up before I even read one single word. My eyes were all over the page and...now I see what I wanted - cold sore remedies, 3rd down from the top of the page after some blog posts and.. Your 3 seconds are up. I bounced.

You want to be obvious about offering relevant information to your prospective buyers, but they are going to the site for a help with a remedy. That's where you want their eyes to go in the first second, with a heading that is enticing enough to make them stay.

    A nice first effort.

I'm no expert whatsoever, except that I know whats appealing to me.

Huge potential here, but what people said about it being too much, too cluttered, I agree.

Simplify it up choosing one of your articles and have it featured on the main page so people can begin reading something right away and then see the other post titles and click to them.

Personally I think its all about video.

Consider this, Have a video made, one of those animated ones with a narrator voice, that talks all about the topic and gives value and good info. at the end of the video urge them to get enter their e-mail and get your free give away.

You can embed this video into the site from youtube, or just have it play off the site, thats up to you.

But the next thing I'd say is to upload it onto youtube with an optimized title and description - and in the description have your website URL. Boom - new traffic source, youtube, and its free. Purchase a couple thousand views onto the video so it will rank higher in searches and begin showing in peoples recommended list.

Next, make a series of videos on the topic: how to cure cold sores, how long does it take to know if you got a coldsore, how to know if someone as a coldsore, how long after being exposed will it take to get your first coldsore.... etc etc, a whole bunch of different videos on the topic and at the end of each video, and within the description, it tells them to get your free giveaway, just go to the website in the description.

every new vid put a couple thousand views onto it.

Youtube videos will rank in google high in searches within like an hour of being uploaded.

And if you want to build even more of a trusting relationship then do the videos yourself instead of the animated vid with a narrator type... cheaper that way too.
