What Do YOU Do After You Publish A Blog Post?

I'm interested to see what other Warriors do after they publish a blog post to kick start the traffic.

Here's what I do...

1. Send an email to email list notifying them of the new blog post

2. Post an update to my Facebook fan page

3. Send a Tweet to Twitter following

4. Post an update to Google Plus page

5. Send an email to anyone I've mentioned in the blog post just to let them know I've mentioned them or their blog.

So what do you do right after you've published a new blog post?

    Wait for Google to index it (which happens pretty quickly), and then all this.

      It's a lot easier if you ask yourself before writing the post what you will do with it and why you're writing it.

      It means you already have an idea of the places you will let people know.

      Insightful stuff. Content syndication is not something I've focused on but you've given me some great motivation to do so.

      Actually I do syndicate in one place. An editor for a popular website emailed me asking if they could publish some content from my blog.

      I agreed and now when I publish a blog post on a certain topic, I get an email from the editor asking if they can reproduce it, I say yes, and it gets published to their PR8 website with an Alexa ranking in the top 4,000 in the world.

      I'm now wondering why I haven't looked for more opportunities like this.

      I'll put that on the to-do list for next week!

    Wow, sounds like you're right on top of things. The very, very first thing I do is sit back and re-read it in a published form. I try to speculate about what my readers will think after they read it and how it appears to them.
