Quick Intro; I have been making money online for a few years now via affiliate marketing. Since I started I have always hired people from odesk, freelancer, etc... Id like to kick it up a notch, and really get things done. The issue is I am a one man wolf-pack.

Where or HOW can I find a partner to work with me on projects? Id like someone who can code websites. This way I can say hey man can you code this for the site, and he/she would and it would be done. We could profit share, etc...

Paying people for work is fine, but working with the same person on all projects would be amazing. Do any of you have partners? How did you find them? Any thoughts to add?

Finding people you can work one-on-one with (if only to hold yourself accountable) is essential.

You should definitely be able to find someone on this forum -- this forum is amazing. I would recommend the JV section.

A word of caution and business due diligence. Don't be in a hurry to "shack up" with someone. Take your time, get to know potential candidates first. People who come on here and say "Oh, oh, oh, pick me..." are not the kind of people you are looking for in my opinion.

It takes time to develop a business relationship to the point where you trust each other enough to share ideas and work together. None of which I would do with anyone unless I got to know them first.

I made this mistake before and it cost me BIG TIME... I was too eager to get a partner and it backfired on me. I lost nearly everything, all my domains, all of my ideas... everything!

It was more trouble trying to go after them with lawyers than it was to just learn a painful lesson from it all and trust me it was painful.

Maybe I'm just being picky but hey I don't need to learn another lesson like that... LOL so I just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents to give you some food for thought.

Exactly. Just because you and someone else are into the same business, or have the same business idea, doesn't mean you're a good match. You need to sit down and literally "interview" each other. Be open and honest. If it feels like a good fit, but more importantly, will benefit both of you positively... then and only then consider moving forward.

Warriors for Hire would be another could place to look for a possible long term relationship. I'm sure there are coders in there. It can give you a chance to test things out with them before committing long term. Like Mike says, no reason to get sucked into a marriage with someone before knowing absolutely what you are going to get and if it will work out for you.

I also offer up the advice of due diligence and caution.

I too accepted a JV offer that cost me some and I even conversed with this person for quite a bit before hand.

Even though we had many things in common, integrity, ethics and honesty weren't among them.

I now operate similar to this old saying, Once bitten, twice shy, however with my own twist on it. Once bitten twice as diligent.
