For many one of the main benefits of IM is the lack of face-to-face contact. You don't need to talk to your customers or affiliates directly to produce sales or commissions. Your relationship is purely digital and through email. Don't even need to talk on the phone (and who really does that anymore)...
Tonight by completely incidental chance I met one of the people that I am doing affiliate sales for. Like, in person.
I bartend at a nightclub on the weekends and one of the people who I had seen in countless videos and video sales letters was standing at my bar. Truthfully, I was extremely relieved at first... I'd finally met a real life internet marketer!
After all, most of my friends don't understand what I do, cause soon as I say "internet marketing", all they hear is -- "Great, it's cause of people who do what you do that I get 900 emails a day for boner pills."
Anyways, this guy was awesome. And I wish I hadn't been so busy cause I would have loved to pick his brain, but alas, the drunkards awaited.
In a digital marketplace it is awesome to finally meet a face behind the product.
