I'm curious how many of you here have recently used an email blast service to send out a marketing campaign? How much did it cost you? Was it a successs?

    Hi,

I would always advise against this it never works. lists are usually generated by illegimate means or have been raped so much they will not open any emails. Get yourself an aweber account and make your own list, hard yes, but the only way.

Email blast services usually tend to be a waste of time in my experience. Either the addresses were bought or farmed, both of which will get your site in trouble with your host even if you arent the person sending the message. And if its something like a safelist, most people start a safelist account with mail addresses that are uses just to start their account then they are turned into an autodelete address so nobody is ever actually reading your mail anyway.
