Can somebody tell me How do you find your content ideas for blogs and websites?

I am a tech blogger and own a website. I get short of ideas sometimes. I need to optimize my offering. I need to know what will be the most searched topics over the next few days so that I can leverage on those.

    I'm betting what's been highly searched the last few days will still be searched the next few days. It would be easy to do searches in Yahoo "Trending Now" and other similar lists.

        I am a "tech blogger" too and I never run out of ideas. I have a degree in this field and worked in the field for almost 20 years though. It is my favorite niche and favorite thing to write about.

          Degree as in ?? I never knew that there is a course on this also. Can you provide me more details ?

          And since you have 20 years of experience, how did you find that website that I mentioned above. Is it feasible or not ?

        Thanks for your inputs . I do use all these, Google reader, google trends, follow websites etc. and all these give me a lot of ideas on what to write and blog about. But all these are passive things. I mean the ones from where I get the idea already have the first mover advantage. They are bound to get more than me on the same content. What I want is something to be told by some algorithm or something that will give me ideas about the topics that will be searched over the internet. For example, if I know what will be the twitter's most trending hashtags on a particular date, I can leverage on it.

        And I don't mind paying for it as this will surely get me a lot traffic.

    Depending on how you define 'tech blogger', you could try getting yourself on the mailing list of various tech providers so that you receive their press releases announcing new products, upgrades, etc.

    Also monitor the recall notices (Google alerts).

    Any time you can get a few days lead on breaking news, you have a few days of ideas...

    I think if you are not that into a niche it can be more difficult to come up with new ideas on a consistent basis.

    Google has Trends you can check too, via the keyword tool.

    I have been researching a lot on the internet for this matter, I've found out a site that completely what I was desiring.
