Hello guys,

This is my first post on this forum. Let my introduce myself first. My name is Jove and i am 20 years old. I attend college and also run delivery operations for a furniture shop in my city. Two months ago I got into networking as another form of income. I am a independent representative for GTN Vacations gtnfunvacations dot com is my website. My way of getting leads is mostly through an email blast. I have tried to get some leads through social networking sites such as twitter, facebook, but for some reason i can't seem to attract the right people. I've done the websites where you follow people to get follows back, but the people i get aren't exactly the right people to invest into a business opportunity/ work from home. Can anyone provide me with some advice on how to attract people in this specific niche (travel). Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank you,
Jove

Welcome Jove, Good to see you joined the best forum on the internet! There are many possibilities for you to follow. The main thing is to start tracking to ensure you get the best return on investment (ROI)..I guess having a personal profile in facebook would be a good place to start and to get as many of your friends to refer people that they know, to get a circle of related friends involved in your project. You could try outsourcing some telephone sales staff..What is your ultimate target audience?

I was actually thinking about getting some telephone sales staff. I am currently renting out a good sized office space, and in the near future, when this becomes a steady stream of income thinking about hiring telemarketers, and paying them through commission. And as far as facebook goes, it's kind of hard because I am 20 years old, most of my friends don't have the mindset as me, they live day by day.

You could start a travel blog and post different types of articles on traveling and taking vacations and include links back to your website. You can submit articles to places like ezinearticles.com or make a squidoo lens.

Thank you for that advice, i will take it into consideration, but my objective is to sell this product to people who are interested in working from home, because how this works is the more sales they make, the more money i make out of it. its like a chain effect.

There are three ideas, but mostly you may just need to keep plugging away until you find something that works. Also, are there people actually earning good money by being representatives? You should know the answer to that question before you invest a ton of time and effort.
I like the travel forums idea, it seems like it could work out. And as far as earning good money, it depends on the person ( just like everything else) . Their pay-off is very good, and it's in a industry that is expected to grow like wildfire, since the baby boomers are on verge of retirement.

Ok, so really, you aren't focusing on travel at all so much, you want people that are looking for an income source.

From looking at your page, the ideal target for you is a person that loves to travel and will push this company so they can travel more by telling friends and family etc.

Travel forums, retiree forums, etc... could be decent places to go. You could advertise anywhere there might be good numbers of middle class boomers.

Doesn't GTN provide you with some kind of training? If you are offering a "Make Money on the Internet" (according to your site) offer without knowing how to accomplish that yourself, there's kind of a problem there.

I would imagine a decent (and cheap) place to start would be participating in travel forums by providing useful information to other members and including a link to your site in your forum signature. That's pretty limited, but your targeting may be better.

Can you do paid advertising with that company? There's much more risk if you don't know how to do it, but that might be a way to go.

Like i mentioned above, I am new to online marketing, but I am willing to learn how to accomplish that. I have had a good amount of people signing up, but i wanna expand on that, hoping you guys here will be like mentors, since you have more experience. I will definitely sign up for the travel forum. And as far as the paid advertising, me and my business partner joined a co-op with different members of GTN to run a full page ad in a magazine, hoping that will attract a decent amount of leads.

    Have you joined Squidoo? (squidoo.com)

You can write your articles and even sell Amazon products. Some writers are warning a good living.

It's not a get rich quick scheme by any means but it gives you exposure.

If you join Pinterest.com you can 'pin' travel pictures that relate and link to your articles, another great source of traffic.

    I hope this helps.

Maybe you could try purchasing some solo ads in the travel & biz opp. markets? It may also help you syndicate some articles & press releases in order to attract organic traffic.

Just a couple of things that you can do to help get targeted prospects in front of your offer.

Yes good good old mlm.. Eventually you will realize how bad that business model is.. Now i'm not saying you will not succeed in it.. But the fact that your income relies on other peoples actions and not your own is bad.

Meaning if these guys don't perform well under your web, your income is limited.

Good to see a fellow young chap making it happen though.
Just don't close your options. There are many many ways to make some bucks on your own.

    Take Care,
    David R.

P.S. first find your true target audience, find what the hurt is, then find where they hang out, and step in front of them with massive value and solve their problems.

Much easier said than done for most people. Some people are naturally incredible networkers, and are very persuasive... they can make a killing in MLM. I hope you are one of them!

I am not altogether anti-MLM, but I have seen a number of friends pour their guts into it, only to have their hard work yanked out from under them in numerous ways.

I say go for it, and learn your lessons well.

At the same time, I would reserve some of your ambition for projects that you have a lot more control over. Ultimately, I suspect those will serve you better.

Targeting search engines will be one of the best solution, try to rank for your local keywords. That will give you good traffic. Other than that, use local directories and add your service to those directories.

You can try to post on some travel forums and use your site as homepage and if it is allowed add it to your signature with an attractive anchor too. This way you will get people who are interested on your content to your site.

      Welcome, Jove!

      My thoughts:

Build a travel blog and make a helpful, informative post every few days. Each post should have one to three links to your network offer. Put an opt-in box on your blog so that people can opt in to your email newsletter (which, of course, will provide more valuable content, which will be wrapped around something to the effect of, "Oh, by the way... Here's a link to this really cool network thing I've signed up for...")

To drive traffic to your blog, as Elaine and Jeff suggested, post in travel forums and include a link in your signature back to your blog.

Over time, you will build up a list of leads which can be marketed to over and over again for ANY travel-related offer. Most people in a niche will buy more than one offer. Some are fanatical and will buy everything they can get their hands on!

All this presupposes that the travel niche is a "good" niche. In other words:

      - Are they buying things now?
      - Are there lots of advertisers in the market? (High #s of advertisers on a Google search for your niche keyword = "There's gold in them hills!")
      - Has this niche been around awhile? Or is it a temporary "fad"?

      Hope this helps!
