Lulu vs Vervante Vs Createspace

Hi everyone,

I am trying to decide which is the best option to publish a non-fiction book.

From what I have read here, Vervante is a lot cheaper.

Anyone has any suggestions?

Vervante is a great company and offers great customer service. Add to that net30 billing and you have no up front costs. They will also list your product for free on Amazon.

Thanks. I am curious why people go with createspace if Vervante puts it on Amazon? Is there any advantage?

s there a major difference between Vervante and Createspace?

The primary reasons I recommend Vervante are:

        1. Customer service. They will help new publishers get rolling. So even if its your first time you are in good hands.
        2. Custom packages. You can create pretty much any type of package you can imagine for media with Vervante: books, binders, cds, dvds, combo packs, book with a disc in the back etc. and they will work with you on production and packaging so there is flexibility in cost.
        3. Net 30 is huge. That means you do not pay until 30 days after you process the order. So you do not have to have any stock, no up front costs, and true on demand. You make money first and pay them later.
        4. Pricing. Even for their Amazon listings they only charge print, ship, and Amazon's commission fees. They do not mark up on top of that. Also they only charge print and ship for all other types. No markup. Their pricing is very competitive when you consider that its true on demand with Net30 which means no risk for you.
        5. Replacement. They will handle returns and replacement for the occasional damaged or non functioning shipped item.
        6. Letter. They will slip a letter in along with your shipped item for your customer. This is a great direct response opportunity for you.
        7. Quality. The produce quality products at fair prices.
        8. API. One of the primary reasons I recommend them is that we have integrated them with our service and can fully automate fulfillment requests for products and packages as well as book of the month disk of the month etc.

I have no qualms recommending them because none of our clients have ever had a bad experience with them and they remove the headaches by providing top notch customer service and flexible publishing options at competitive prices.

Also consider this... if you are thinking of the benefits from any of the others Createspace Lulu etc. and the primary benefit you are looking at is they list your product in other places and will sell for you "set and forget" then by all means list in those other places ALSO. Ie. your strategy does not have to be limited to one.

So for example if I were promoting my physical product via my affiliate program and my own advertising and marketing I would use Vervante but if the others like Lulu and Createspace generated free exposure simply by me listing the same product with them and not doing anything else.. then I would list with them also.

Hi, I am with Lulu and very happy. They provide really good service and most important that they will put your book in stock list. This means that big companies such as Amazon will publish and sell your book. I sell my book and have some money from it with zero ads.
