How to do a redirect from optin to thank you page?

I am using Optimize Press for my squeeze page and want to redirect someone to my thank you page once they fill out the form. How do I do this?

Their support is quite good. Send them an email... I'm sure they'll be able to give you the best answer.

What Autoresponder do you use, most allow you to redirect once the email has been confirmed to a page of your choice.

Yes I know how to do this, but is there a way to redirect them straight to the thank you page as soon as they give there details in the squeeze?

I use Imnicamail which probably has the least options, but under 'Settings' for my list, I set it to use my own 'Pending Confirmation' page and 'Confirmed' Page.

Whichever Autoresponder you use will have these options, and they will be set in the autoresponder not the website.

I think that this is what I am looking for. So when you do this as soon as they hit the button on the squeeze they are sent to the thank you page?

Yes, that is the 'Pending Confirmation' page. In most autoresponders you can set this.

They fill in their name and email address, click 'Submit' and then see your 'Pending Confirmation' page - if you have set one up in your autoresponder.

I don't know what autoresponder you are using so I can't be more specific in the set-up process

Here is one I did just yesterday.
Squeeze page: Affiliate Marketing Profits 7 Day Crash Course
Pending Confirmation page: .Affiliate Marketing Profits 7 Day Crash Course

Once you've seen the post I'll delete the links, I just want to make sure you get the idea. This is set up inside the autoresponder, not the theme. Hope this helps.

Yes this can be done using most Autoresponders by setting the "Stop" or "Confirmation Needed" pages to your own and direct them from that.

The only thing I would say is the number of people that actually confirm their email will drop if you do this and don't ask them to do it first, which will ultimately harm the success of your email marketing.

So what your saying is to not redirect to the thank you page from the squeeze but rather from the confirmation email?

Yes I would do that, if you redirect them straight away and have it set up so that they have to confirm their email like you should have, most importantly because you know then the email is active, then by giving them the content straight away you are removing their need to confirm as they have what they wanted.

What I would do though is create my own page that tells them to confirm first but maybe put an affiliate offer that is also in line with what you offer on there too so you may make a few sales, instead of the generic confirm your email stuff these autoresponders have.

You may even partner with someone and say if they put one on their then you will put a banner on your promoting their product.

              Hope that helps.

No, but knowing what it's called I found instructions in Aweber's knowledge base.

You need to set up both the 'Pending Confirmation' and the 'Confirmed Email' pages.

Squeeze page (lead capture) - 'Pending Confirmation' (Tells them they need to check their email and confirm) - Their in-box (They click to confirm) - 'Confirmed Email' (They get their goodies)

'Pending Conformation' is a page that reminds them they need to confirm the email or they won't get squat.

In my example I also offer them free things that lead me to profit in the long run, right on the 'Pending Conformation' page. This may or may not result in more money, I'm still testing this part of it. I don't deliver the product itself, though.

The 'Confirmed Email' page is the one they are taken to after clicking the 'Confirm' link, in the confirmation email. They are taken to that page after confirming their email and it delivers what you promised. I think the set-up of both pages are explained on that link above, hopefully.

As far as I understand, what you are really asking and wanting to do, is to have people go STRAIGHT to your thank you page after submitting their details, right?

In that case, you can just use single-optin, people don't have to confirm they want to be a member of your list and get sent straight to your thank you page.

Very easy to do too in Aweber!

    Good luck!

As Colin said! that makes sense. Most autoresponder services would allow you to use your own, custom built confirmation page. Instead of the old "thank you for subscribing" thing, you could put the redirect there.
