Is 2 weeks of work enough to position a niche?

Hi there,
I'm building a site on 'Decision Making' and I'm gradually adding niches related to this topic like 'Resistance to Change'. I write about 6 articles per niche, and do 2 videos. Over two weeks I'm leaving about 20 comments, using pingler (which pings to 90 sites), doing extra bookmarking (delicious, pinterest, digg..), posting on youtube, and facebook.

For the moment, I don't see much results in terms of organically originated visits. Do I need to lower my frequency of new niches, and spend more time on strengthening them? Or should I continue at one new niche every 2 weeks and let time do the work?

Thanks for your help!

There is nothing wrong with targeting multiple niches...but I personally feel that you should devote ample time into actually becoming an authority in the niche.

It takes time & consistent effort in order to establish yourself in a niche. Don't rush things, because you could be operating in a highly profitable niche, and you want to make sure that your site(s) reach their potential.

Patience is your friend in niche marketing!

The thing that I wonder about is what you are trying to accomplish.

From what you describe it sounds as though you are creating something in order to benefit yourself.

If that is the case, then why would anyone be interested enough to take their time and effort to look at it?

People are looking for something that benefits them. How are you creating great value for the public that you are hoping to attract to your sites? When you can truthfully answer that question you will be a lot closer to achieving your goals.

I'm trying to create a membership site where people interested in learning about tools on decision making can join.

No problem targeting multiple niches but instead of creating 2 videos you should create 100 videos..

I have about 120 videos for my gout product on youtube and about 10 of them have gone viral and the rest are in the low 4 figures of views.

Videos are awesome after the google panda.. Do powerpoint videos

I'm doing powerpoint videos basically becasue its all I know how to do. I make a slide show then upload to Brainshark where I add audio (my voice) but I have not seen them to be especially effective.

Can you please elaborate on "Do powerpoint videos" to help me improve mine? Thanks

Thanks! Yep, I noticed that my videos on youtube are so far my best source of traffic. So I guess the more videos the more chance to get good traffic.

In short 2 weeks is not long.

I also thought the same.I think you are doing a good job with your site and in a month or two you should be seeing results.

Yes I think you need to lower the frequency of new niches and just focus on the ones you have.

    Some questions for you:

    1. What kind of research did you do to find out that "decision making" was going to be profitable?

    2. How are you monetizing your website(s)?

    3. Who or what advised you that what you're doing works?

    4. What kind of keyword research did you do before doing all this?

There are ways to get positioned in a market like you described in under 2 weeks, though generally, two weeks isn't enough.
