What AutoResponder are you using and why?

Hey,

I have a question for all the Warriors out there.

I am researching the different auto responders out there and I came across one called TrafficWave.net.

They seem to have good pricing, but that is exactly what makes me nervous. Has anyone used this service?

What have been your experiences with these guys?

I have looked at Aweber/GetResponse/iContact/MailChimp.

I would normally lean toward Aweber because of their reputation, but they are pretty pricey.

Anyway, I just wanted to get some information and input from my friends here on the forum.

Thanks to all!

Aweber... I'm not super excited about the new editor but you can still load the old interface. I'm sure I will get used to it after time, but for my money it has everything I need and is very reliable. The support is also great.

so prices too low make you nervous, but prices too high make you go eek?

if you are serious about your business, you need to get with getresponse / aweber / or constantcontact. You probably really should be with one of the first 2, but i think CC should be mentioned in any real discussion about autoresponder service. But CC is a little harder to use for newer people.

icontact and mailchimp both have their TOS to restrictive for most IMers.

      Yeah, funny huh!

Here is the reason for my inquiry. If the price is too low are they adding their own ads or things I do not want going to my list? Are they doing other shady things?

I have used Aweber and not ever had an issue either, but I was recently pointed to Profollow only to find out that does not exist any more. They were an Aweber reseller and merged back with Aweber about a year ago. (Be careful of old information!)

When they were up and running, they apparently offered services THROUGH Aweber for about $20/month for a list up to 10,000.

That is a good price for sure, but it was using the reputable Aweber service.

Thanks, everyone for the input so far. Heck, I should have made this a poll!

      All the best!

No. We don't send anything, at all, to your lists. They are 100% your lists. We just don't see why you should pay more.

I've been using Aweber for years and have been very happy with them, like the others in this thread. I've tried the others for projects I've worked on. I didn't like GetResponse. Mailchimp wasn't bad. Imnica was absolutely terrible. I'm talking about the UI and ease of use. As far as delivery rate, which should be among your top concerns, Aweber has always gotten top marks compared to the other popular companies. Really, this expense should be one of your top priorities if you are serious about internet marketing.

there were several fairly popular aweber private labels before they changed their pricing structure a couple years ago i guess. Profollow was a private label aweber front owned by jeff walker if i remember right. prosender.com is another private label of aweber owned by mike filsaime. I think jeff walker sold his private label back along with the accounts and such back to aweber when they changed their pricing structure.

I suggest you stop trying to over analyze this stuff and go signup with either getresponse or aweber. Then move on to the more important and much more difficult problem of getting subscribers into your shiny new AR account.

I use GetResponse because everyone else was using Aweber and I wanted to be different without sacrificing too much on quality. I'm being halfway serious with that too lol.

You might want to test out listwire to see how it works. Its free and easy to use with unlimited prospects and unlimited list. They do add a small ad in the email that goes out to your list.
Listwire also has a suscription form that you can edit for each of your list and also offer some tracking for your sites.

Mail Chimp has a free option, but it only allow double optin.
For IM, I suggest Aweber, since it allow single optin, and its very user-friendly.

I use Aweber but I don't have any good reasons for doing so
apart from habit. Can't say I tested all the rest and didn't like
them. I'm just too lazy to move and Aweber loves that.

Like many people before me, I use Aweber. It is the most reputable one around. Yes, it is a little pricey, but that means you can be sure you are getting a good quality service. I think most people would rather pick quality over price when it comes to anything IM, right?

I was doing a little research on pricing history and it looks like Aweber changed their pricing a while back increasing their fees quite a bit. Are there Aweber users who used the service before the change and know what exactly Aweber changed?

How about the advanced features? Any user experiences?

    Thanks one and all!
