Do you think this is a good startegy for promoting your program?

Hi all,

I have a quick question I'd love to hear your opinion on. This is something that's been bugging me and then I thought - why not bring it to the forum and see what other's are thinking? After all, this is what the forum is for, right?

Is it worth you while building up a key phrase before it has something to be connected to?

To clarify, let's assume this scenario:
  • You are planing a big launch for a high ticket program and you want to build buz around it.
  • You create a bunch of individual blogs (and no, they are not connected to each other in any way - for the sake of argument, you can ssume they were all built by different people) and post on them with your key phrase in the title and content (it does not link anywhere) on each blog.
  • You then comment on the blog posts with links to the other blogs, creating a network of connections among the blogs, building them up. Now you have all those blogs "powering up" your key phrase.
  • You promote the blogs on the warrior forum (using signatures) , thus strengthening the blog network and the key phrase.
  • You promote the blogs with videos on youtube (having links to them in the description) and you make sure all the video files are named with your key phrase (!)
  • You use social media to promote the blogs, strengthening them even more.

My first question to you is two fold:

One - is going to all the trouble of setting up such a thing is worth the trouble in terms of the buz it will create for the key phrase?

Two - when you launch your program (named with that key phrase) - will the buz you created help you promoting it?

Do you think this is a good strategy?

Eagerly waiting for your response
Ely

This sounds like a big link network. If anything, you should get some powerful backlinks to your program. If you are going to be selling something, then Social media promotion seems to be the way to go.

I agree, it is a sort of a link network (an unstructured network - which makes it appear natural) but the end point of it is unlinked !

The whole point here is just buz creation... and my question was: is that buz going to help your launch?

Its a good strategy if you outsource the grunt work and have the knowledge, skill set and/or money to pull off a big product launch.

I agree - doing it all yourself is not only a lot of hard work, you will also need to use proxies and different accounts (there is a way to get around this, which I may reveal at the end )

  • There is nothing wrong with that strategy at all. I do it all the time - Sometimes intentionally and other times not.

      Thanks for sharing.
So you are saying that "open ended" (un-linked) key phrases will benefit a launch?

  • If I understand correctly - you are trying to rank for keywords before you link them to anything right?

Well, I wouldn't call that "rank for" but yes, something like that... Building up the key phrase (creating "buz").
What I was wandering, is that going to help the actual launch (even though the key phrases on the blogs are never linked to the launched product)?
To make it clear - the blogs are going to promote the launch but not with the key phrases from the "past"...

Anyone else would like to comment on the method I outlined?

Are there any other steps I should include?

Yes, I agree. However the thing about social media is you need to already be connected to people for your posting to have an effect. With youtube, on the other hand, you will benefit even if your social clout is not that big.

It's not feasible doing it all yourself - and not just for the amount of work. You need to have the blogs on different c-classes with different hosting companies, have unique youtube channels, etc.

I'm not sure "standard" outsourcing is going to do it either. I have another idea on how to pull this through...

I was wandering whether it will actually benefit the main launch and for that I wanted other people's opinions
