What can you not outsource?

For those that are familiar with the 4 hour work week philosophy, outsourcing as much as possible, as early as possible, is a challenge.

I wanted to ask what tasks are difficult, if not impossible, to outsource?

In particular, a question I am having these days, is how to outsource split-testing? Can it be done successfully? Does anyone have any positive experiences?

You have to initially train the people and then you can outsource it. You can not outsource speaking at a live event or hosting a webinar but you can out source anything that doesn't require you to be present in the moment. Here are a couple of great resources for outsourcing: John Jonas on Living The 4-Hour Workweek and here is a site where you can find intelligent , trust worthy workers for as low as $1.50 per hour: Hire the best Filipino employees and virtual assistants the Philippines has to offer!

Sex with my wife. I cannot find anyone to do it for me at any price.

When it comes to outsourcing split testing, you can outsource the setup, but not necessarily the interpretation of the results. You need a real expert to be able to interpret those numbers wisely.

No one will do as good of a job for you, as you will do for yourself.

Lol, that something you wouldn't want to outsource ever.

However, I've heard of weirdos who like being cuckolds, but that's another story LOL.

Anyways, at the end of the day, you have to still do something with your business.

The only thing I would never outsource is the paying other staff... Never a good idea to let staff know how much $$ you're making, otherwise they want a raise :p

As for split testing, you can outsource this if you can find the right team to outsource to. We do a bit of client split testing, so depending on exactly what you're after, might be able to help out..

I've never found anyone (expect techguyswhogetmarketing.com) that could interpret the numbers and make the necessary changes to the website after gathering the numbers...

...because they really both go hand in hand.

Something that I can't outsource: developing concept for websites/ mobile apps.

I do the concept building by myself and outsource the implementation of the concept to other people.

I believe idea is the main thing that distinguishes business owner from the employee.

Its like anything - writing, graphics, research, you just need to find the right people.

You can find workers that specialise in A/B testing, optimization and conversion on outsourcing websites. It's not something I have outsourced, but you could always test outsourcing it and see how it goes. Just be sure to hire someone with plenty of positive feedback and experience.
