    1. The paid one will be through ppc (Google Adwords, Facebook, Bing)
    2. Second: The free ones: SEO: Article writing, blog commenting, search engine submission, social bookmarking.

If the niche you're in is the IM niche, you could start by linking to your squeeze page in your signature

Hey congrats for the set up and now what you really need to focus is bringing traffic to your website and build your list via multiple platforms such as

Social networking - Facebook, twitter, pinterest, stumble upon
Article marketing - ezine article, article base
Forum posting - google your niche + forum
    Document sharing site
    Ebooks site
    Blog commenting

There are also paid traffic like solo ads (you can build your list easily and rapidly via solo ads), banner advertising, ppc, ppv and etc.

P.s I would suggest you to start with solo ads and also do not forget about free traffic (organic traffic especially) .

    Happy list building!

    Hi,

Paid traffic can build your list fast.

I'd recommend purchasing solo ads. But make sure your solo ad seller has the same niche as you or else your list will not be of quality to you.

For Free traffic, you may go for

    Blogging
    Article Marketing,
Forum posting in relevant niche (good traffic)
    Facebook page

    Hope this is helpful.

Search engine optimization, getting involved in your niche online communities and guest blog commenting are the best free ways in my opinion to drive traffic to your website

I would say for free traffic you should be promoting your squeeze page in your signature link in relevant forums, very good traffic. As for paid traffic, the fastest and most consistant way I have found is with solo ads.

I find that I get a lot of signups for free from twitter put a link in your profile so that when people check it out they see the link to your squeeze page and then start following people that are interested in your niche.

Another way of getting free signups is to make useful YouTube videos in your niche and add a link to your squeeze page in the description box and then at the end of the video tell them to find out more information click the link below or whatever you're promotion is to get them to sign up.

You can also use buysellads to find websites that you can advertise on to help build a list I have had some good success in the past with list building through buying adverts on this network.

Try to build yourself a list. Once you have a list you can send them maybe a free course over 7 or 10 days. Build a rapport with your list to gain trust and you will soon have your list buying your products because they trust you.
    Good luck.

I would agree with trevor. You should definitel try and use your signature to your advantage. If you go for paid then go with PPC.

If you're a promoting a product or service, have a webinar where you provide tips and teaser content related to the product/service.

Conversion rates from webinars are generally significantly higher than most other methods.

Rather than just looking at ways to get traffic have you thought about what type of person you want to be on your list?

Spend time working on the demographics and creating a lead magnet your ideal subscriber would like to have. Look at what the people you want to be like are doing and then add your own twist.

Armed with demographics and the knowledge people in your niche will download and use your freebie then you can go out and buy the best traffic.

    For example

I know that in my safelist niche that pdf reports relating to newbies marketers are more likely to be downloaded than a 1 hour webinar or audio call.

I also know that the average user is time rich, cash poor, and be in the > 50 age bracket.

So if I set up a squeezepage trying to promote a $997 homestudy course sold via a recorded webinar on how to start an app business I'd be wasting my time.

Spend time thinking about why you're building a list and what you to achieve to get the best results. What works for others may not work for you, but a simple change could make it work brilliantly.

Go to ity.im or adf.ly and add a Squeeze as an interstitial ad. The traffic is reasonably priced from both. I was getting about 50 opt ins per day on my first and only test.

solo ads are an easy and fast way to grow a big list

theres no hoops that you have to jump through like you do with ppc or many other paid traffic sources

also set up some kind of an authority blog. You can also build your list from this site too and in the long term as long as you keep working on it the traffic will only ever increase

before you start driving traffic to your squeeze page, you should really get your sales funnel set up

it`s all great sending lots of traffic but if you have no system behind the scenes working for you to convert your prospects into paying customers then it doesnt matter how much traffic you send to your squeeze page

I would suggest you to keep your money and work on your SEO and promote your pages your self. It's not that hard to write a few articles with 5% of the words being good keywords. You can include your page on your signature as Trevor M said.
There are many free ways to increase your traffic, no need to spend money as most of paid methods are temporary.
But if you wish to do so, a good paid way to get traffic is PPC ads, if you go with adwords you will be satisfied.

Facebook advertisements can really work especially if you know that the majority of the market you are targeting is on Facebook. I suggest that you start to try and create some campaigns right now so that you can find out if this is indeed the right marketing tool for you.

As for free methods; blog commenting and writing articles relevant and helpful to your particular niche still works. Although, you will have to dedicate a good amount of time to produce a lot of articles that can help you significantly boost your website's popularity.
