Create giveaway product, buy autoresponder (Recommended is Aweber or Get Response), create squeeze page for optin form, then you can promote it as free WSO or promote it on your blog if you have it.

    Hey Flatbro04,

Indeed, the money is in the list...or the 'relationship with the list'. Get that right...

Try Aweber, highly recommended and reasonable too. Give away a product like an ebook (your own preferably) or PLR... but just get going.

The important thing is once you have got your list, start writing to them immediately... have a sequence of auto responders in place to keep in touch and make offers. Voila!

There are several ways to build a list. One way is to join a JV for giveaways. You can also create a squeeze page to gather emails. Income diary blog, is a good place to get tips on list building. I would also just Google list building tips, that should give you boatloads of information.

    Hope this was Helpful

The other warriors told you all you need to know to start, but first of all make sure to have a profitable market. Don't make the mistake to start writing and create list, make some simple test for check if your niche is quite big, and if they are willing to spend money.

Use an autoresponder like Aweber and give away high quality freebies on your squeeze page to get people to opt-in to your list. There's many guides online on how to do this, so just look around. Once you have a nice responsive list, try sending them some valuable information first to gain their trust, then promote offers to them after.

    Hi flatbro94,
    You need to
    1. find your targeted market.
    2. creating your squeeze page to get people to opt-in,
    3. use different methods to drive traffics to your site
    4. use autoresponder to create follow up messages to your opt-in audience.
and repeat the process of driving traffic, your list will grow over time...

Man, you have to find a good traffic source in order to get prospects on the squeeze page of your list. You can buy a solo ad for $50. You will get at least 100 people on your squeeze page. If your sales letter for your free report is good, you will get a good conversion rate.
Go to 90secondsqueezepage dot com to create your squeeze page!

    Good luck!

Get aweber. Set up a squeeze page. Buy optimize press if you want to build a squeeze page much easier then if you did not have it. Trust me... Optimize press is a huge time saver and will help increase optin conversions. Next come back to warrior forum and type in the search: list building tips or how to build a list. You can do the same at Google and you will get a ton of traffic tips.

I agree with providing a free trial version of your products or services. This will entice your visitors to subscribe thus allowing you to gain information such as email addresses and names. I also recommend providing a free e-book since this will also entice visitors to subscribe.

Agree with all the above. Create a squeeze page, have a free product or video and join aweber to make a list. Of course, ensure you have a good squeeze page - you could use something like 90secondsqueezepage or hire someone from fiverr to make one for you, unless you are a webmaster.

You are best paying someone for solo ads and checking that your squeeze page and offer is something they will be willing to send to their list. Make sure you do this before you pay anyone. You will find solo ad vendors right here on the forum - and they may even make you a deal to help you out!

Its interesting that everyone advises to get a free product and offer it for a name. You might also want to consider selling an inexpensive product. Your list, according to some pros I know, will likely be more responsive later to your offers and worth more...since they are buyers, not freebees.

That's a powerful little idea right there! You're right. Better to qualify a list up front than to build a list with no profit potential. Got any more suggestions along that vein? Pricepoints? How did you build your list by offering low cost products?

Also, what do yall think of MailChimp versus Aweber for building a list? Or ProAffiliate versus Optimize Press for your squeeze page? I jumped on board the ProAffiliate WSO but haven't had time to use it yet, so any results/suggestions would be appreciated.

This thread from a couple of days ago answers that question in pretty unambiguous terms: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post6446449

I can't help with ProAfiiliate/OptimizePress but there are plenty of people here who know both and will answer.

They say Money is in the List! That's absolutely true.... Building a list will give you the highest ROI- Return on investment for every visitor that you are able to bring in to your site.

To build it... Find something that your market would love to have as a free gift, Something that gives value to them. It just can be a simple ebook, an audio or a video course. You can go for quality PLR materials. Just Google "Your Niche + PLR" and you will get a lot of it! If possible get a nice graphics being made with a catchy title and you are good to go. Get a nice autoresponder service, I prefer Aweber, and install a capture web form into your blog, which is just a matter of installing a widget. Keep it above the fold in your blog and just make it eye grabbing. Prepare some good follow up emails providing value to your subscribers. Thats it! You are good to go.
            Hope that help you !

Personal opinion only - I haven't used it as a marketer.

The reviews by former users of the service whom I know and trust, and other information I've seen about it have put me off.

It offends me even as a customer and I'll no longer join (not even under a "spare email address") the lists of marketers who use it.

Disappointingly spammy emails from people whose lists I've voluntarily subscribed to are bad enough: I won't tolerate spam sent behind their backs to their subscribers by their autoresponder company. I'm not joking about this: in my opinion it's a really serious issue of the kind which - in the long run - can only ever have bad collective outcomes for all of us, whether we're personally involved in it or not.

When an autoresponder company does that, to me it's clearly just the sending out of bulk, unsolicited, promotional email. And that's the definition of "spam", isn't it? It's just inexcusable, in my opinion.

Also in my opinion, it's because of exactly this sort of behavior that regulators gradually grow bigger and more numerous and stronger and their teeth are more effective. And ironically, the people who complain about that are typically the very ones causing the problems to which "increased regulation" is the understandable and necessary response. If they're not part of the solution, they're part of the problem.

Some other people's opinions of this and related subjects in these threads ...

Actually, there are three ways I have discovered that you can use to build a massive list in a very short period of time. These are:

Soloads: A soload is simply an endorsement of your product by someone else who already owns a big list, in exchange for a fee. Some of them can actually send you up to 3000 targeted people, and if your offer is great, you can easily get a list of 1200 – 1500 people overnight. And if you’ve added one-time offers, you’ll recover some of your costs instantly. I highly recommend this for everyone wishing to fasttrack his success.

Adswap: having built a list with your soloads, you should now exchange email endorsements with other marketers looking to build their lists. This way, you could send 100 – 200 people to his free offer, while he does the same for you. This way, you can potentially increase your list by 2000 subscribers in a month.

Launching a 100% commission product: Creating a product, and finding affiliates who will promote for you can potentially help you build a massive list very fast, especially if you have an exit offer that redirects to your squeeze page. You can launch your product as a wso on the warriorforum, or on clickbank both of which have a great deal of affiliates.

Ok, I get the "Get auto responder" "Opt in page" "Free gift" parts but once you have your list how often should you be mailing them to ensure they stay active?
Should you continue to build your list constantly or does it get to a point where you no longer have to?
Should you have content to offer your list first before you create it?
Do you make more than one list according to the niche market you are targeting?

It is certainly the way to go but there are a lot of elements to list building and takes time to get the hang of all of them

before yo even think about building a list you need to get your foundation laid because without a strong foundation your business will crumble before you know it

    you need a an

autoresponder (i use aweber there awesome)

squeeze page (i use optimize press and my new squeeze page is converting at 74%)

a quality free video series/report or mini course of some kind

a plan to how to build traffic to your squeeze page

a series of follow up emails in place

a plan with segmenting your list if they buy

these are just a few of the main components but theres a lot more little things that you have to do too which can make a huge difference but you do have to start somewhere

list building is the same with anything, it can be learned but does take time but it is very profitable

    1) Create a squeeze page offering a free gift and drive traffic to the squeeze page.
    2) Include an optin form on the sidebar of your website if you have one
    3) Include a popup optin form on your website
