EXPERTS: I need to stream a video from my desktop w/ a live Q & A session! Can I do that w/ Ustream?

I want to stream a video of a Powerpoint presentation from my computer desktop followed by a live Question and Answer session.

When the video of the Powerpoint presentation ends I'll open up my webinar to a live question and answer session.

Here are my questions please...

1) Can I do that with Ustream, Livestream, Vokle, or something similar?

2) How will the quality of the audio and video be for my attendee's?

3) Can I make it so that only I can see the questions my attendee's are asking me?

Thanks

Steve

Webex is what you need. but its not free, though it will cover all your needs and beyond.

Webex might be okay but it seems that they only allow 25 attendee's.

The company I shoot video for uses Livestream. Works fine but you have to pay if you have over a certain number of viewers. When picking a provider the number of probable viewers is one key factor. I believe they also put you in their listings if you take off the 50 viewer limit.

I thought Livestream and Ustream allowed unlimited viewers?

I think you can request a custom quote to cover your needs with WebEx. I've attended many webinars and the number of participants was definitely greater than 25.

In a nutshell, what are the advantages to using Webex over GoToWebinar or another similar service?

Use Livestream its free and just download the procaster desktop app to record the screen and audio etc, you can also allow comments and questions etc, I don't know of anything better and audio should be fine.

      1) Have you used Livestream to stream a video from your computers desktop before? If so, does the video stream smoothly and how is the audio? I'm asking because webinar companies like gotowebinar don't support video from your desktop which is why I'm considering one of these streaming services instead (and it might be a lot cheaper too!).

      2) Have you used Ustream or Vokle for the same thing? And if so, why do you prefer Livestream?

      Thanks again.

I have used Livestream but none of the others, and the quality is good for me.

And did you show video from your desktop in your presentation? And if so, how well did the video stream?

Do you know if its true that I can embed the broadcast code into a page on my own website and then stream from my computers desktop using the Firefox 'Ad Blocker' plugin to remove Livestreams ads?

I know you can embed the code into your own site, it streamed well for me even for desktop presentations, and although was over a year ago last time I used it, I can only imagine it has got better, I have heard their is a new Livestream with better features currently being launched or has been launched but haven't checked anything out about that.

And did you try streaming your broadcast from your desktop and use an Ad Blocker plugin to remove the ads?

I did broadcast from my desktop but didn't use the ad blocker plugin so not sure about that one, but in general I thought it was a great set-up, I fact I am just working on a few projects and plan to use this again as part of that.

The most important thing for these kind of things is : effortless user solution/experience.

If you have to donwload/configure something, you'll lose your clients and potential customers.
