IM as part time or full time job?

Seems like the title didn't get people to click on the poll, So trying another title, hopefully it is better this time, Please spread the word to get as many polled as possible, the data can benefit us all.

im shooting for the stars...looking for large corporation type income.

Honestly for me it is full time job at this stage, but I'm trying hard to convert this job level to corporation.

Back when I started in 2005, I just wanted part-time money. In 2006, I was making full-time money while working part-time so from 2006-2008, I kinda thought it would be great to work full-time. This was kind of an easy time in IM, where you could put up a site and it would make decent money right away.

In 2009, I changed my tune and I've kinda stayed this way. I have no desire to work from home or do this full-time. I make probably 2x online than I do at my full-time job, but this makes everything enjoyable to me. I do a job that I enjoy and get paid well and it provides great benefits. And my online income is almost like extra money. I can outsource as much as I want because I don't rely on my income. And that makes the business grow even more than if I were doing it myself.

Most would consider it pretty silly. This is a busy time of year for me so it's not like you can extrapolate these numbers out, but I profited $866 yesterday online and made $292 at my day job. But still, it works for me.

Hi, by my side I first started with a part time job, and then I've converted it in a full time job a few time later. Now IM is my main business, and I've my company only devoted to online and offline marketing.

It's a full time job for me, mapping it though to become a larger corporation.

Internet marketing actually comes 2nd on my revenue sheet. My first source of revenue is my career in Computer Networking. And yeah... i see myself working my Computer Networking job... even when my online business reaches $10,000 a month.

thanks for the answers, but what i really try to see is, why are you guys starting out a Venture as internet marketers? is it to get some additional money, or to quit the day time job? or any bigger purpose like changing the world in one or another way.
