You can make decent money writing articles. Start a thread in warriors for hire and offer quality articles. But there are many people selling articles there so you should have a unique selling protocol (24 hour delivery, american writers, cheaper cost etc.) and deliver what you promise if you want to run your thread for a long time and not get bombarded with negative reviews.

    Hi there :-)

When it comes to writing content there's dozens of ways you can make money from it. Initially starting off with a Warrior For Hire offer and an introductory price is a good way to go.

It's also an idea to register yourself with Elance, Textbroker and maybe Odesk to find more clients there.

How much you earn will depend on how well you write, how well you communicate with your clients (essential) and also being open to feedback from your clients - it's not just a case of writing articles for $5 a pop and not interacting with clients.

The other thing is not to go out there and compete for the $1 per article writing jobs - they're not worth the hassle and you can easily find work paying 5x and 10x that with a bit of effort.

Never assume that writing is going to be easy but when you have good clients and you're writing on topics you enjoy it sometimes doesn't feel like work :-)

Also look at offering a writing based service like PLR articles or something else where you can write content once and sell it numerous times. It's always nice to have passive and residual income coming in!

    Hope that helps :-)

If you're speaking of providing article writing as a service, then in addition to offering your services on Warrior Classifieds; you can also become a contributor in Yahoo's Contributor Network (Yahoo Voices; formerly AssociatedContent.com). In this way, you can get paid for each article you contribute.

If you are good at what you do then good money can be made, otherwise you have high competition for average quality content so expect low prices...

You could probably charge around $5-$10 per article. Sign up to the freelance sites, give some samples, sign up to Fiverr, and create a website displaying your portfolio. Then promote the site as you would do any other site.

I just want to point out that this price point is for mediocre content. This is definitely not the ceiling for writers.

True. I've seen many that would charge (and get away with it) around $15 to even $20 per quality article.

Really Matt??? That much.. Hmmm...my clients regularly pay me $200+ for around 1,000 words of content or a feature. Am I also "getting away" with something?

Well, that's great to know you're paid for such price already. Indeed, once one has established a proven track-record of his/her 'deliver-ability' in content writing, you can definitely price clients at that amount.

It's nice to meet you, Annie Pot.

Definitely the Warrior for hire section! That's where I started! Also Elance, V Worker or Guru.com!

If ghost writing is something you really enjoy and want to pursue, you could look at courses! One is Ghostwriting Cash by Tiffany Dow! It is just EXCELLENT!

    Gd luck

The answer is "unlimited" but it depends how you handle and deliver your article writing service.

The other sources would come from what skills you have.. There are hundreds of thousands of sources of income. The only question is how many of them you can handle well.

You can make an incredible amount of money writing, if you're good at what you do. Writing articles is a good place to start; once you're a bit more seasoned, writing web pages, press releases and other content for clients is profitable.

Try Constant Content and Interact Media for starters - and good luck to you! I wish you the best

It depends on the quality, iwriter starts at $2-3 for a 300 words article. Start a thread promoting your article writing, you can start low but ask a good testimonials, then you can start from there.

I want to say that you can earn way more than $5 per article. This is a rock bottom rate. Many IMers look for dirt cheap content, and many writers give it to them thinking this is the only way to get work. Yes, you will get work this way. But you will also have to write a LOT more articles than if you charged more, and you could quickly find yourself burned out and hating it.

There are different markets for writers. Cheap IMers is one, but there is a market that's willing to pay more. Do some research here and on job sites like oDesk and see what other writers are doing. Also work out how much YOU need to earn (based on your expenses, a salary you want to replace etc.) and how much you want to earn. Figure out how long it takes to write an article and you can work out the rate you want to charge.

You need to be firm and stick to it, but there is a market out there who will pay for decent content!

I think it will depends on your writing skills and quality. If you able to provide unique and quality articles then you must get good amount from your client.

And if you want to write for your own blogs then there have much more opportunity. If you able to write niche blogs then you can make money via affiliation and others source like adsense, buyselladds, banner and so on.
