Injecting life back to an old list.

When I first built a list I did not really know how to look after it. So after a time it became less responsive and I moved to pastures new. The list was built using Aweber and these days I use GR.

I have learned a lot since those days and now realize that it is not building the list that is the problem but more on how to look after it. Treating subscribers with respect and understanding that they are just people like yourself.

Browsing through an old email account in a bid to clean up the thousands of messages still there I came across all the old aweber notifications. The ones where they tell you that you have a new subscriber.

So I already have a 9 part course that I drip feed new subscribers in place and thought I wonder how many people on that old list would be interested. So I know this is probably wrong but I manually added them to my auto responder sequence and to my suprise after adding 300 or so only 5 unsubscribed.

What's more on the fourth email there is a low key offer and I made 3 sales. So it is possible to breath life back into an list.

Just talk to them. Share with them. Build the relationship again. If you already made three sales, and didn't have a mass un-sub day than you are already on the right track.
