100% Commission is NOT Always Worth It!

Getting a little over happy about 100% commission opportunities lately, I made a mistake. It was something that I could have prevented... I knew to check it out, but got lazy and didn't do my homework.

The sale I made was an instant $47 commission to my paypal account. What's even better? It was going to be a "recurring commission" to my paypal each month!

Minutes later, I received a complaint via email that the customer could not access his download links. There was even a dispute already processed through paypal and funds withheld. I went to visit the website and discovered there was not a "customer support" link or any contact address to be found. In fact, I had quite a hard time hunting down the owner...and still haven't heard back from him.

So, with 100% commission opportunities:

1. Make sure that they provide great customer support so that you don't lose your commission. In fact, send them an email to test out how fast they respond.
2. Realize you may have to be responsible to process a full refund if there is a money back guarantee.
3. Realize if there are issues and complaints, you may get some negative feedback on your own paypal account. After all, they sent money to "your" paypal account for that product or service.
4. It's wise to purchase the product yourself to check out the quality. Also, if the product you're promoting is an ebook or report, you can have that on hand to forward to any of your customers who had problems with the download. (Just check with the merchant your promoting to make sure that's okay to do.)

      Hi Rhonda,

I understand your situation. I think you learned this to your further affiliate activity. Btw I'd reverse your list: The first and most important thing is before you advertise whatever product - you should buy it and review it. This way you won't lost your reputation before your audience.

      Good luck,

      Sandor
