Need a mod_rewrite recommendation

My current hosting sucks.

I've got new joomla website to roll out and i want to switch hosting to a more focused hosting.

Can anyone recommend me a good hosting service that provides lots of mysql databases for a good price and has mod_rewrite enabled?

A hosting that understands what we do and why we need mod_rewrite and such?

I don't know about that company, but Dreamhost has been, well... a dream for me.

I've been with them for about three years now and have loved all of it. They always get back to my support requests quickly and are there to answer any simple questions I've got.

Last I checked I had something like a terabyte of bandwidth, unlimited mySQL databases, unlimited domains... the works. All for $10 a month, which I get more than paid back by referring my clients to them. I haven't paid in over two years thanks to their coupon/affiliate system

i tested some hosting in my "carreer" already, i really like the ones i am with now, ukcheaphost.net (noral shared hosting) and hostnine.com for multiple IP reseller.

I think UKC offers 10 MySql to start, but you can always upgrade to unl.

I personally dislike all the "mainstream" hosters, those two are superb in any way and CHEAP.

I think the main worry is reliability.

If the host has unlimited mysql(or just a lot) and mod_rewrite and is reliable i'd be over the moon.

I'll check those out but i'm still really not sure.

i've never transfered hosting either and i have a fair few websites so i'm worried somehting might go wrong, especially the mysql websites.
