Ad swap

I am writing to my local newspaper asking them if they would agree to an ad swap.
I will put up an ad on the front page of my forum promoting their newspaper and in return they advertise my forum in their paper. My forum is just for the local people in my county.
My problem is I don't know what I want my ad to say. What I have right now seems pretty generic to me. What do you think?

    I think you should promote the "make new friends in the your local area" and "discuss the local events that matter to your community" angle a bit more.

    But I am not a good ad writer so can't advise the best way to put it across!!!
