Solo ads is one of the best way to build a list. But if you're new to list building I'd suggest you to start with the free methods first..like article marketing, blog commenting and forum posting.

Once you get the hang of it, got your squeeze page conversion optimized (40% above), got engaging email follow ups..then you can start with paid methods like solo ads.

When you deal with affiliate marketing there is only ONE strategy...

Promote products with your affiliate link. That's it. Nothing more. Nothing less. Don't make i too difficult.

Now there about a billion techniques on how to do so. I personally create websites around products and then include my affiliate links within article text and banner ads about the site.

I also promote links via email marketing, in other words, I have a list for the product that I promote. Revenue generation from affiliate marketing simply put means finding targeted traffic and driving it to my links. The "magic" (or profit!") blossoms from there.

When I first started a couple of years ago, I promoted a niche site on same-niche forums via my sig line. From there, I added an opt-in to the website, so that I could reach my site visitors directly. At this point I generate affiliate revenue from not only my website, but my niche, which is all funneled (in one way or another) from the same-niche forums.

Get your links in front of a targeted audience and you will see sales. It's no different than creating your own product and promoting that--except you didn't have to create said product.

I don't promote with Amazon anymore, rather I use merchants that are a part of Commission Junction and Share-a-sale. Additionally, I have found great success promoting physical products (as they are shipped to the customer) versus digital products which seem to have insane refund ratios.

    Just my two cents...

start with something you know already something about, I started with games because I already knew a lot about it and was able to farm 150$ / day, from there I made more and started other projects

Got to agree with Matt on this, try some free methods first. Writing a great guest post will get you traffic, I once got about 250 unique visits and about 40 sign ups from one guest post in 24 hours so I know this is a great way. I also think these skills are important to learn as a marketer and a blogger as you can build relationships with other marketers in your niche. There are many techniques you can use without spending any money, you should think long term rather than quick fixes. I write about this sort of stuff at my blog, feel free to get in touch if you want some help......

If you insist on spending it - which you dont need to. I would build your site/squueze page - create an optin form. You could try OptimizePress for this...... What is Optimize Press | John Banks Blog This is $97 - that with your Aweber account, domain, and hosting should take you up to the $200 mark.

The point i am making is it looks like you may be after a quick fix for $200 - there isnt one. (Well, ive not found one!) Take it step by step, ive just developed a course on this - its takes time and there is no quick solution..........

    Focus on these 3 things:

    - Traffic
    - Conversion
    - List Building

$200 is more than enough to begin making an income online. You just have to learn how to put those 3 things together to make it happen.

    What you will need is:

    - Autoresponder
    - Squeeze Page that converts
    - Instant Traffic
    - Strong email follow ups

Internet marketing doesn't have to be complicated. Don't get distracted from any of those things I mentioned and you will succeed.

    Hey, I'm Just saying.

Use the $200 towards building websites and marketing the affiliate websites/links. With $200, and being smart with it, you can definitely make that $200 multiply. Plus, even promote products in the right forums. It's free, yet can be highly effective.

Quick and very easy -- apply for CPA networks (just search this forum on how to do that) then make simple 1 minute slide show vids using Windows Movie maker to promote them. Yes there are nuances, and there was a very good WSO on this recently which I am using successfully. Good luck (if it is still open that WSO was going for 10 bucks).

I very rarely spend money on anything. Website hosting and domain name, perhaps pay for a Fiverr gig, if it's really good, and I sometimes buy points to get Twitter followers, which is where I get a lot of traffic. Mostly it's just hard work. Writing, tweeting, sharing, clicking, socializing. Best not to spend a lot of money, as it costs you money, and only rarely makes a profit. Twitter followers are a good long term investment, because you can keep tweeting different things to them, and I stopped trying to build my email list in favor of them.

To be honest, there's no much you can do with $200... I mean, You can buy solo ads, but you gotta be on your lucky day to sell the product you're promoting... When you know little it's like gambling

When I started on the internet I joined a membership program to learn how to make money online... I ended spending about $1k in solo ads and I didn't get even close to the break-even point... It wasn't a smart move whatsoever!

If you want to make money you should invest money first... Get a coach (a good one... one with proven results), pay him, an let him or her guide you.

That's a savviest advice I can give you on this... And if you don't have money, get it somehow...

    Hi,

Related to your questions, a cheap way to build up a list are ppv websites. You can buy cheap traffic from them for your squeeze page.

    Thanks

If you do invest in some teaching then my advice would be to stick to one method until you have made it work. I have suffered in the past from shiny object syndrome so know how damaging that could be.

    Hi,
I started with blog and now I'm starting with autoresponder and squeeze pages.
So if you want quick results you must get traffic to your squeeze page first and then build trust with your subscribers and then you can get big results.

    Thanks Erwin.

It is enough to create a micro niche site, even if you outsource all content reation and SEO, so I would stick to this.

I would do PPC and see if you can AT LEAST break even on the campaign. If you break even (or actually get profits), re-invest that money into the PPC campaign, and continue to get customers - and then market to your backend customers on a weekly basis.

    I'd invest your money in:

    1. Domain name & Hosting
    2. Autoresponder to capture email leads (such as Aweber)

And then, find a blog, forum or online video channel that you can find to promote your products.

I personally started out with only $50 online and can make a full time living as of now.

I would invest in some traffic or perhaps look into doing a JV to get some sign ups.

The WF is a great place to build a list. Have a look in the JV thread to get tips and see if there are people selling spots on their lists
