Maybe they will take notice, some people around the world cannot use Paypal (they are not a bona fide financial institution and can't under their laws be used by the local population.

Thanks! Great list. The thing with paypal is that I can pay from my paypal balance without touching my credit card. I don't EVER withdraw cash from my bank to my paypal... That is where I have trouble with a lot of other payment processors. Some sites will only take credit card or paypal.

I use WePay.com, they are awesome.

Quick to sign up, and you can withdraw your money the same day.

The only thing is they don't allow digital products, but if you're a service provider who is sick of Paypal, you should definitely check them out.

Google Checkout and Amazon Payments are "ok". 2checkout doesn't allow for internet marketing products. Did you mention Alertpay? I didnt see it on the list.

PayPal has been a bit of a pain for the past years. I had my share of frustrating transactions, funds being put on hold, and stuff. Good thing to know there are at least 46 alternatives to PayPal.

People should be cautious about Nochex and avoid the merchant account if possible.

What you need is a 'seller' account if possible. There are no chargebacks, but you are limited to withdrawing only £1000 a week and UK clients only.

The merchant account means giving them a heap of money forever to hold. See here: Nochex Review. The Paypal Alternative. Or is it?

Pay pal is a trusted name and whilst I think their fees are higher, it's also about giving my customers confidence to buy online. I'm not sure I'd be giving these alternatives a go at this stage, however will be watching to see how they develop. That's for a great list

I have a product on clickbank and a few where I take direct PayPal payments but I find clickbank to be difficult to deal with nowadays when it comes to the sales pages approvals...

There is nothing like getting your own Merchant Account. You have more control over what you can do with billing and charge whatever you want.

Lot of people have a love and hate relationship with Paypal. They can be your best friend or your worst nightmare.

Another advise is that you should use multiple billing cascades on your affiliate software. So you can load balance all the transactions and manage decline transactions effectively

Anyone try Pay Blue? Was looking for alternative to PP. People talking about PP freezing accounts for digital products, and even tangible products on Eaby, and not getting paid gives me a knot in my stomach, especially, when I'm about to launch a new downloadable video series.

Paypal can be erratic and remove your account for reasons that many would consider unjustified. In the middle of a campaign no backup can be an issue.

I've used moneyborkers (now called Skrill) and wepay. Both very good companies to work with. Wepay is great. Very simple, great interface and excellent customer service.

This is great alternate list for payment process. Although I think you are OK with Paypal until you sale MLM products or products with re-sale rights that gets refund over and over again and the re-saler don't take care or handle the refund properly or even don't do that's why Paypal shut your account. That's it.

Thanks for the great list, but if only the average customer uses these. Since, the average person has only heard of Paypal and possibly Google checkout. This is why Paypal has so much control. Anyway, I think payoneer's pretty good too.

Thanks for sharing this. But acceptance of PayPal is worldwide. More importantly there are some sort of service which does not accept others except PayPal.

A warning about Click2Sell--I've been using them for almost a year and never had any serious complaint until 2 weeks ago when THEY STOPPED PAYING ME! I sent in a Customer Service complaint and got back a message the same day about some mystical "Paypal issue" that would be resolved by the 17th. it's now after close-of-business on the 19th and still no payment.

What gripes me the most is they didn't send out any advance warning there would be a problem, which is the least you could do when you are about to stiff your clients.

Another payment is due on Monday...if it fails to arrive then Click2Sell will be dead to me and I will be exploring another alternative.

Great list, thanks! Payoneer is great, you get a Mastercard debit card so you get your money right away. Great for those outside of the US.

Thank you for your list. I had been looking for FastSpring but had forgotten their name (and I guess I never bookmarked them). With FastSpring, I could easily split-test pricing. Their transaction fees are very high but I think it's worth it for all the integrated features. I'm going to give them a try.

The list is great, but I think I saw WePay, and even Payza as number one. Not to say those are not payment processors, but obviously there limits to how great a thrid-party service can be. I would place Google Checkout as number one, avoid WePay unless you're a photographer or babysitter, and Payza I would not recommend unless you're a fully established organization with years online, with paperwork, and other information, because they will go great links to avoid giving you any money. V.me (Visa checkout) soon to be and is newly in service and not quite operational yet, should not even be on the list.

Authorized.net is a gateway and will sign-you up with a payments processor, and thus it never ends well for merchants, they always put you up their default processor, iPayments - And you get my drift from there, if you take credit cards. For sending money it is great to keep in mind Amazon Payments (not Amazon Checkout), Venmo is a great service but not P2P payment service for sending cash, although they're P2P and great if you are paying someone under $500.00 for a service or for half-a-dinner from a restaurant to your friends and love ones, use Dwolla is great as well. I saw a lot of virtual software payment-services, like ClickBank and such.. for virtual goods, great service. ProPay used to charge you a fee before signing-up, I don't know if that's any good. I have a friend at ccnow, who assures me with the new acquisition, new website coming soon, and of-course an Phone/iPad App, they will blow away the competitors like 2CO. If you are looking to for online virtual payment really why not Square or Intuit (credit Check required). Xoom is just not a payment processor nor an alternative any how, they'll go circles before paying you out is just like Moneygram or WU. Used an Escrow for that, I suggest balancepayments.com. Also, Paymate and MoneyBookers (Skrill) are supper good for Uk, EU and AU customers merchants, not so much Americans, although they're accepted on eBay, it does not mean they are better than PayPal. And overall people tend to be annoyed by PayPal but really, if you're looking for a Merchant Account, why not just go to your local bank and get a merchant account, then linked that into a PayPal checkout ($30) a month, and you get funds faster than usual. Another simpler way, which you must know about already, is PayPal payments pro or advance (new); is just like a merchant account with 24-hours settlement and also comes with the PayPal services. I have tons of years researching and studying these payment services, just wanted to add my 2cents, but really good list, cheers!

i have a very bad experience with this company..!

i opened an account with this payment processor in May 2012.. after that, whenever i got an order, i would get email notification of this order.. based on the order, i would send the software to my clients.. everything was going good..

but now when i have reached my payment threshold and have asked the accounts department to send the payment to my bank, then on 10 September one of there representative replied me;

"I contacted our risk management to aks them if you get paid this month. As sonn as i get the answer i will let you know."

on this reply, i have sent them 2 emails , one on 16 and second on 19th september, but still i haven't received a single reply from them .. moreover today when i tried to login my shareit control panel then i get the message "Sorry, your Control Panel access is currently not active!"

is it a sign that they are trying to scam me and steal my hard earned money...???

there customer support is pathetic.. no live customer support, as far as emails are concerned, they don't bother to reply..

in this situation what should i do..? any suggestions in this regard would be highly appreciated.. i am highly indebted nowadays and i was relying on the payments owed by shareit.com .. but they have disappointed me...

Paypal is good for small ticket items, but when you go for high ticket ones, best to avoid. Its not just the % cut that bothers, but the scrutiny and delays in withdrawal is stressing.

I had no idea there were as many sites as this. I still like PAYPAL, and obviously it's a site
that most of the world knows and trusts.

That said they can be a pain in the backside ever once in a while.

I am happy to using your list. And i will. But i am having something confused about paypal service. I see paypal transferring costs a minimum of 4.5% when transferring money across borders. MassPay, their cheapest method charges a 2% fee and then adds an additional 2.5% currency transfer fee. It has some kind of hidden fee. I like transferwise too for transferring money in anywhere. I did something compare with PayPal. I see Transferwise also better than others for its lowest fee. Thanks
