My best bounce rate is around 45%.
My worst bounce rate is 93%. And, it because of Adfly traffic The traffic's quality is very poor.

I got my best bounce rate from signature traffic.
The more targeted your traffic, the lower your bounce rate will be....

I am not sure of the stats , one thing know was Peter Garety had a plugin product called Bounce rate eliminator which he mentions increased the visitors stay on websites by 50% more than before..

How about 1.34% bounce rate across the entire site is it good enough?

Got mine down from 80% to about 30-35% with one tweak....I thought my site looked pretty good at 80 too.

I had an Amazon site back In Oct/Nov that had a nice 20% other than that website I never really tracked it

best 40% traffic is about 6k a month.

worst 90% traffic is about 120k a month

A high bounce rate does not have always a negative influence because some visitors land on a page and exit after clicking on a web banner.

I wouldn't worry too much about bounce rates. You need to figure out how to get more than 27 people a day to your site.

I'm a newbie here but mine is averaging at around 25% at the moment - having said that, it is a three week old blog and I have heard that bounce rates are generally lower on blogs - am I right? Derek, how about adding a cliffhanger opener to your website ? Just like in a novel, you've got to draw them in with content. My favourite novel opening is from Brighton Rock by Graham Greene. It goes something like this - "The minute he arrived in Brighton he knew they were going to kill him" - wow! You want to know who? .. who wants to kill him?..why do they want to kill him? when are they going to kill him? so you keep on reading ..and the same goes for websites - OK, I'm not advocating a Brighton Rock style approach to your website but ditch the violence bit and you're on to a winner. Oh, and don't give them everything on one page - make them hunger for more and click through.

Not seeing where this is that important. If you have a low bounce rate and still are not making sales isn't the problem somewhere else?

Seems to me, unless this metric is directly tied to sales, its not going to matter.
