Hi All! Looking for your honest opinion on my product website strategy.

So this is my first post here, but I had been following the forum from a distance and find it great! Lots of useful information and helpful community spirit.

I started my first product site focusing on diet as the cause of acne and wanted to focus on the cause rather than another 'cure'. So being on a tight budget I did everything myself and came up with theacnecause.com

After making a few sales but nothing that hit off, I had a change of mind about the site, felt I wanted to break the website down into smaller chunks and try to make it easier to navigate around rather than one long (possibly boring) page, so I started acnedietlink.com

What would be your opinion of both sites? Should I stick with just a single sales page or ideally both? I've already tried to include my sales pitch in 'about the system' page. Which domain would YOU use?

I have a lot of patience to make this work since my first sales confirmed that there is money to be made and it was an amazing feeling! Anyway, sorry for rambling and thanks in advance for any advice.

    Personally, I don't think either domain name is going to make or break your venture. They are both "ok". not great and not bad, so i would say either one.

    The trend for google traffic is certainly towards authority sites with lots of content however since you already have a product, I am not sure that should really be your main focus.

    I would put a ton of effort into developing an affiliate program and finding JV's in the acne niche or other "cross-sell" markets. I am 100% sure there are already people who have a list of people just waiting to by your report. (assuming its good of course).

    There really is no point in not leveraging those existing potential partners to get this thing rolling.

    Thanks for your thoughts David. So either site could work, it just depends upon building up relations with affiliates and their lists?

      That would absolutely be the way i would proceed. That way you actually have more control over your business. Partners are out there.

      Depending on google traffic is very risky business these days.

      You will probably need to work on your sales copy some, but I think you are in pretty good shape overall.

      I don't think you are very far away from having a very solid situation.
