Tracking Conversions Long-Term

It's easy to check your conversion rate ths standard way. 100 people come, 2 buy, 2%, easy.
But what if you have a 3 month autoresponder series and most people buy after say 5 emails? Is there a simple way to track conversions that far into a sequence? I'm new to tracking, so anything beyond the basics makes my head spin.
This would also be great to know to tell affiliates. To be able to say "All people you get on my list convert at 5% over a 3 week period" would be powerful.
