What to do with 200K email addresses

Hello,

I have 200k US IM Niche(US Online Opportunity Seekers) email addresses. Please suggest to me what I could do best with these email adresses? How can I transform these adresses to opt-in's to my list?

thanks

If it is an old list you have got hold of then it might not be of much value.

Emailing the list will be looked on as spamming if they are not your opt in anyway.

Do you know where the list came from and how old it is? Maybe use an email verifier as your first step?

There is a 99.9% chance you should throw them away before they get you into trouble, but i doubt you will take that advice. For that reason, I am not going to put a whole lot of effort into explaining all the why's and how comes.

      That is what to do.

Agree 100%...not worth the BS that can result from unsolicited email marketing. The game has changed the last few year.

      This says it all.

Unless there are compelling and unusual circumstances you haven't mentioned, it's extremely unlikely that there's any potential upside here at all, but the huge problems, complications and risks are all too apparent.

Haha.. Every now and again I see a thread title like this (while looking at the main discussion page), with 'last comment' by Alexa and I think 'Now, THIS is going to be interesting..'

A tad disappointed this time, but still lots of good advice here

If you've got these emails by capturing through your own squeeze page, then there are many things you could do with them to make money, but if you'd have done that then you probably wouldn't of needed to ask the question....

So i'll asume you purchased or aquired them some other way which as stated above, these are worthless to you and could get you in trouble if you do anything about it! discard them now!

    Thats the best advice!

    One question...

If you bought that list from someone then you may as well of set your money on fire.

They will either be spam emails or totally dead.

Good luck, but what ever you do don't try to have Aweber import them into your autoresponder because if they do add them for you and you send a broadcast you can be sure to kiss your aweber account good bye.

How much did you pay for this list?

That will be a good indicator of how much it's worth.

I'm guessing it's as cheap as chips, if it wasn't, I'm guessing you've been conned twice.

I see (it all makes sense now, regarding your other thread). If that was by private message, you should hit the little red triangle on the message and "report" that to the moderators as the private message spam it is. It's kind of distressing to think that Warriors can see someone's started a thread about list-building and then promptly send them a p.m. offering to sell them a 200k list!

      Hi Joseph,

Not a lot.. It's more to do with scanning the main forum page, whilst looking for an interesting discussion.

Having tea with that is optional :p

The most sensible thing to do is to send them viagra and penis enlargement ads.
