My Opt In Form isn't working HELP!!!

There is a link to my newsletter or "Garden Club" on my home page, but it is not working. I have a growing number of visitors but no members. I don't have any e-books, so giving one away free is out. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks for any help. The site is: SunGardensInc

I just visited the site and it took me a few seconds to hunt down the link to your newsletter subscription. The key thing here is that i went there looking for it and had a hard time finding it.

Everyone else that goes there is not looking for it, so my guess it they will never find it.

Add that optin form to you home page. That will help a lot.

Thanks David, I kinda wondered about that, but it was hard to find a spot on top of the page for the form. Maybe if I changed the background color of the text to something very noticeable, like pink! Thanks again.

you need the optin on the homepage. Any time you make a visitor perform any action you lose some of them in that process. When you make them click a link to get to another page to do something they should be able to do from page 1, you are just shooting yourself in the foot.

Your optin list is a vital part of your business. find a way to put it on the homepage.

You might even try stretching the form out and making it more "banner" like and center it on your page. That can be done by changing the html form code. Or find a place above the fold on your left menu.

Excellent, thank you so much! I really like the banner idea and I am going to get working on that right away. Appreciate the advice.

If you have a little money I'd seriously consider buying OptinSkin and I'd buy it through Passive Income: The Smart Passive Income Blog for the bonus skins.

You can throw up much nicer optin boxes, move them about freely and do lots of split-testing.

i should clarify. not an actual banner image, those have low click through rates due to ad blindness. but instead of the optin box being vertical, it may look ok on your site to have the optin form more horizontal in nature.

That is what I was thinking, horizontal. Thanks again!

Why not create one? Or outsource the creation of one?

The fact that your visitors need to click a link before they get to the opt in form could be a barrier. Especially as the link to go there sounds a bit salesy like they have to pay for something.

Love your signature Kittyjuana, Is that what there are doing at 1:48 in this video?

Yep, that is what they are doing! Loved the video! If you did that video yourself, you are very creative. I am also trying to promote Kittyjuana, from the Cat Joint, but that site is also very new and nobody is signing up for it's newsletter either. Probably need to place the opt-in form on the home page on this site too, instead of the text link. Thanks for sharing the cute video!

Thank you David, For the Advice you gave to Marty on making his form more easier to find. Do you have any advice to get them to subscribe to your lists.

You just have to offer them something that has a high perceived value.

ecovers and quality graphics can go a long way to making a normal report seem like its worth a lot more.

In many ways, a person is "making a purchase" when they optin. Its cheap, but you still have to convince a person that what you have to offer is worth enough to let you into their world by giving you their email address.

It took me 2 min to find the opt-in,
try to change the color to something more bolded and nice looking.
Maybe you could add the form to the upper right corner at the main page.
