Hi Folks,

I've been around for a little while here and have really found it to be an absolute goldmine of information and help. Hopefully i will contribute more soon.

One thing is that I am at a point where i've got information overload! Not only that but WSO overload as well. I keep seeing some really excellent products that I think would help no end, but then end up buying a bucket load and don't know which to do or use first!!!???

One thing i don't like is that no sooner have you bought someones product, they are emailing you to either buy another of their products or more than likely pushing someone else's product as an affiliate! Please, give me a chance to use the one i've just bought before pushing more!

I think i've got enough wso's to last me the rest of the year and beyond!! However, i know that more great ones will constantly be coming.

Does anyone else experience the same?

Any way, back to work!

Yes of course. There's a lot of people experience this problem, buying ever new shinny WSOs.

My suggestion is... stop buying, stop reading, stop opening email about WSO... If you need to learn more about the method, look for it through Google and read from article. Learn fast, so learning doesn't stop you to take action.
Buy the domain, create the website, and immediately make the first sales. Start somewhere.. start something... even it's just a small step.

You could buy new WSO when you have made the first sales.

This is a recurring problem for new members around the forum. You have to understand what purpose WSO's serve you. Because Internet Marketing is so wide open there are many different opportunities across different sub-niches.

You have to be fully aware of what you want to do and then start doing it. Build your website, build a list, start a blog, affiliate marketing...wtv you wanna do just get down to business and start doing it.

Buy a WSO about the topic you're interested in and PUT IT INTO ACTION before you buy another one! WSO's are awesome because they are so cheap and (for the most part) they're filled with some real golden nuggets. The only problem is that a WSO gets you nothing...

It's up to you to take action on the information you learned...so get to it!

Do not buy another until you go through one and take action on it for at least a month.

You'll be shocked at how you don't need to buy anymore because you're actually making money.

Even the totally crappy ones with rehashed ideas do work if you work them.

      Yup...
Sometime when you bought new WSOs, you'll find out it is same thing, only to do it in different way and simplifier.. So in my opinion buy them when only you really need them to expand your business..
And I really agree, buy only related to your business field..
Most important is to put all information you got into action..

As long as you can start, you are alright. The juice will come..

This is the NO.1 enemy to many marketers - information overload has dashed many a netprenuers dreams. It is a VERY serious beast that MUST be dealt with, so many people underestimate it.

I used to keep a spreadsheet of all the products I'd bought. This brings home the amount you are spending and whether you have used the information. Let's face it - if you haven't used / read and acted on / decided not to act on the product, then you may as well have not bought it. It would be a waste of money!

Something that really helped my focus was always keeping this equation in mind:

        leads*converstions*avg cust spend*repeat orders=profit

Before you buy - think where the product is going to help you and your business, and if you need it. Will it help you get more traffic / leads? Will it help you make more money from existing traffic / leads (conversions). Will it help you get more from you customers? Does it help you save time, so that you can get more traffic / leads?

If you know which point to focus on in your business, then you can start discounting many WSO's / products.

It was only recently that I realized that its information overload that is the no.1 business breaker - it destroys your focus whilst making you think you're doing the right thing.

It sounds to me you need to clean up your computer! DO NOT BUY another wso! go through your hard drive and pick your top 5 wso's you fell you could take action on, and send the rest to a seperate file! do the same with your emails, pick the people who have genuinely sent good stuff, limit this to 5 people and bin the rest! it sounds harsh but you simply cannot move on whilst you are tempted with shiney objects.

I personally like wso's which are more tools than systems, ones which you would more consider a resource than a method! these ones you find you really get your moneys worth from as they become a bit of a goto guide!

On my laptop I have created several files which are my goto reference points when I need them, such as:-
    Free traffic
    Paid traffic
Instructional guides i.e wordpress, kompoozer, product creation etc
    security
    backup
    copy writing
    email
etc etc you get the point!

I was like you, with tons of wso's but stuck where to begin! a good clean up makes a world of difference - trust me!

You just need to follow Nike slogan. JUST DO IT
I know a lot of people who just keep buying and buying with taking any much action to implement what was taught. All you need to do is take action and try to implement what you currently own. Stop buying new stuff.

No matter how good a WSO looks, if you don't buy it, you'll seldom be missing out on anything. Very few products sold as WSOs offer anything new or "ground-breaking", and many of them are still available at a reduced price months after the initial WSO.

There's no rush, and by the time you feel like buying something you put off, someone else will probably have come up with a "NEW! IMPROVED! NEVER SEEN BEFORE!" version of it, as they always do.

Buy something you think you can really take action on, something that fits in with your marketing plan of action, and then apply it. Most important of all, unsubscribe immediately to any lists you subscribe to when purchasing a WSO, or use a throwaway email address that won't distract you. As was mentioned earlier in the thread, all these people do is bombard you with more WSOs every other day to further confuse and overwhelm you.

Thanks guys. Some excellent advice. Am going to setup another email address now for all the sales emails. I had setup a filter in gmail so everything would skip the inbox but I think a completely separate one is better.

I've come into this from a totally different industry and IM although not completely new to me, i've got a lot to learn so i can make a decent living.

I'm looking to use it within the sector that I am currently working in and be the go-to-guy.

Glad to see there is a lot of support from a vibrant community.

Try to focus on one method at a time and master that method. Once that method becomes profitable then move on to other methods. One thing you can do is buy WSO's that looks like they will enhance the method you are currently working on, but do not buy every shiny WSO you see because all of them are not as shiny as they may seem to be.

It looks like you know what area you want to focus on. If you're on an email list that is not within that niche, I recommend unsubscribing when you receive the next promotional email. You can always get back on an email list, when you're ready to try a new method.

The only person who can help you with this problem is yourself.

There are always going to be temptations in life trying to lead you down the wrong path. The people who are successful are those who have the self discipline to say no when faced with constant temptation.

You have already admitted to the problem. So what are you doing about it? Unsubscribe from all the lists of people who keep tempting you with these offers. Do not visit the WSO forum at all. YOU need to be the one to make the change. Remove as many temptations as you can.

If you can do that and stick to the one thing then you will be far more successful than most other people on this forum.

WSOs are the most useful for people who either:

    1. Have the ability to focus on one thing and actually use the WSO before considering buying another one on a different subject

    2. Have a specific idea already of what they want to do and are buying a WSO on that particular subject

You're clearly not falling into either of these categories, and you've already realized that buying WSO after WSO, and then not doing anything with them, is a recipe for lost time and money. A change of approach is definitely needed.

Namely, stop buying them for now, and start using the ones you've got.

When you buy a WSO, go over it, and pick one or two things that resonate with you and are relevant for your business, and immediately take action. That's the best way to ensure that you won't simply be jumping from one shiny WSO to another one.
