Should I build a list for a site I plan to sell?

I have a site that I plan on selling in the near future and I'm wondering if I should start building a list from it to offer as a bonus. Would this add much value?

    I'm not planning to build a relationship or promote anything to this list ...I'm just wondering if having a list of captured emails from this site would add any value.

      If I was you I'd build a list. Here's why...

      Maxwell Maltz - Author of world famous Psycho-Cybernetics died having never captured a list of buyers from best-selling book.

      Dan Kennedy came along and bought the entire rights to all of his stuff for less than $100K. Had Maxwell got a list Dan would have had to pay many times more.

      The list is worth more than the website.

    There's nothing wrong with building a list. I would strongly suggest that you DO build a list as you will have buyers with credit card in hand ready to buy, IF they trust you. A list of ready to buy subscribers gives you a major opportunaty to SELL to them.
