Thanks for the recommendation. So have you tried the qTranslate plugin? Will the plugin make my website slow down?

Keep this up and your stay here at the forum might be short.

As I have websites on 2 different languages I can tell you I never find a good plugin for translation, always the result is an awful grammar results.

And of course your website will include all the keywords, tags and SEO for the original language.

For this reason I prefer to make an extra effort and create separate websites in separate domains.

        Hi Derek!

You're right the website slow down and this affect your SEO, because the website speed it's an important issue for Google.

And believe me, if your traffic comes for the main language keyword, they are not interested in the translation at all; that's why I prefer to create 2 websites.

You can write your content on english and translate it yourself with Google Translator, then use a tool to check grammar and spelling and make a proof reading, this is a good way to re-purpose your content.

Or hire a translator on Fiverr

I have around 80% traffic for the main language keyword, so I am just looking for translator to help another 20%. Here I have got a plugin suggestion from Faisalmaximus. It is working better then any other plugin I used before. Also my site loading speed is okay.

          Thanks
          Derek

I've seen a few different language support plugins at the Wordpress.org site. I'm not sure how well they work because I've never tried them but I know they do.

Do not use a translator plugin, most of your translation will be unreadable and look like spun content

      Hi Derek,

I've experience with different translator devices for ages. I cannot praise them because of their imperfections. And a poor translation does more harm for your business than good.

Even the Google translator produces very mediocre results sometimes - if I'm taking my own mother tongue as an example. When I've mood I use to correct their spelling and grammar mistakes. But I abandon that because of the required time.

The different languages apply different sentence structures, and this factor does not facilitate the translation for any plugin. They are able to translate individual word or phrase, but combinations of words often cause difficulties for them.

The best solution is to hire a translator, you can solve this with barter business too.

      Many successes,

      Sandor

I've tried a few plugins and to be honest, they are ok, but in the light of recent Google updates I am not sure they really help your site that much.

The issues with them is they take a lot of disk space - if you have 100 pages on your site and each page is translated into 40 different languages, suddenly you are up to 4000 pages on your site eating your disk space!

They also consume a fair bit of resources and the quality of the translation isn't brilliant. Try translating something from a foreign book into english and read the tranlastion and you'll see what I mean!

    All the best

      Very nice explanation! Agree!
Let them translate it by their self
Give the best, and they will translate it , not us!

This will not be good for SEO.

Google is getting much better at detecting content that has been produced in this way and your bounce rate will be sky high.
