My 300th Post and A Little Wisdom

Granted, 300 posts isn't a lot on this forum... Hell, there are people who joined last month who have more posts than me. Maybe, just maybe, there's a potential lesson here for someone new to marketing online.

But first let me say this...

I love this forum. There have been days when I've been unmotivated to do anything and have come here to get the swift kick in the rear I needed to get back to work.

There have been days I've read one post and thought to myself, what if I did this? And went and tried it. Some worked, some didn't. But at least I gave the concept a shot.

There's gold in this forum. But you have to be willing to close the window, or tab, and get to work. You can read all you want, spend hours responding to topics and asking questions, but if you never put any of the countless ideas on this forum to use, you'll never make a dime.

Making money online requires you to take consistent, persistent action.

Repeat after me...

I am responsible for my own success.

Now get off the forum and get to work.

Great post and I completely agree with you. We have to take consistent action or we won't achieve any kind of success. I have tried many things that completely failed but others didn't. How do you know if it is going to work if you don't try?

That's a good tip share for your 300th post.

      I use the timer method.
Set the timer for a certain amount of time. When it goes off, that's the forum time done.
It not only saves time to be used on productive action, it sharpens the mind when I *am* here.

      Cheers!

    Smart post TelZilla.

That mirrors the best advice that I've ever received:

Most people do nothing. Do something. Do anything! But DO it.

Movement over meditation. Don't have to get it perfect, you just have to get it going. Nothin' to it but to do it.

    Great advice.

Certainly, a consistently applied effort is necessary as a
prerequisite for success. But that action has to be well
directed and to serve a meaningful plan of action.
It's necessary to evaluate on an ongoing basis where you
want to find yourself in the near future and how best to
achieve those IM goals. Learn from your mistakes, take
corrective action and plow ahead. With that kind of purposeful
and thoughtful application of your efforts, you're bound to
have a much greater chance at success.

It only took me 8 years to hit 300 posts. I'm sure you'll beat me. Hell, most of the forum has beaten me.
