How Can I Earn Extra Money With Affiliate Marketing

One of the first things you need to do (in fact, it's the 1st thing you need to do) is to decide what kind of marketing you want to pursue. Do you want to sell Amazon products? Would you like to do CPA or affiliate marketing? How about Adsense? Would you or could you build websites for others and provide services? Just pick ONE thing to do, get good at it, and do it. Here is my pointers to affiliate marketing success:

- Offer products that actually solve problem of people.
- Build your list, "the money is in the list" is a lie.
- Targeted traffic
- Have other affiliates promote your product

Make the search engine, WF/forums, YouTube and any other place for resource your friend and you will never lack info on how to get anything done.

Above all, take action and Never Say Never.

Work out how you can provide lots and lots of value to people online - and then give it to them. Don't look to take, but give - you'll find that people will be willing to pay you as you learn to monetise - took me a long time to work this out, and is way more satisfying for sure.

There are many avenues to making money online, many of which are available in this very forum. Write down a simple business model and daily action list and get to work adjusting your plan along the way.

Target people that are ready to buy. By this I mean target product names, especially one's that have just come out because the competition will be low.

Or, you could target keywords when people "need" to buy, i.e. Valentines Day, Christmas, Birthdays. So, get on Google's keyword tool and type in Christmas 2012 or Romney Halloween or whatever is coming up and current. You will get keyword suggestions. Go for the long tail keywords since they'll likely convert better.

You could just build a free Squidoo lens or Weebly site around the core keyword, with various long tail keywords as other pages/posts or Lens paragraphs.

The only way to increase your earnings is by going after higher priced items for bigger commissions and/or driving more targeted traffic to your site and/or promote membership type affiliate programs that pay continual commission.

Finding the customers just before they're ready to purchase is important for higher conversions.

Lots of great answers here, the thing to do is decide on how you want to make the money to begin with, and then as Tyler said create a business plan.

Too many people come online and think it is a magic wand, you need to understand it is a business and although it can make good money as a hobby, you still need to put the time and effort into it.

The idea is a simple one, basically find out what people want ie they want a problem solving and then find a product that will solve that problem and try and get it in front of them, sound simple and it is BUT it is not easy...

It takes a little time and effort...

The easiest ways I fouund was find a product that is in high demand and has a ton of keywords with not much competition and target those with your affiliate campaign, a facebook page targeting that keyword is a good way to get quite fast ranking, or as a fellow warrior mentioned a squidoo lense, these are free methods so there is no outlay, but if done correctly can be very powerful.

Start with cpa marketing

If you're just a beginner then pick one source of traffic to master and drive tons of traffic to great offers.

Once you get a little more advanced, create your own squeeze page and drive traffic to your squeeze page first before redirecting that traffic to great offers.

You have a website and product to promote? If so, what is it? Are you willing to create both? If not... you should probably start off with ebay. You can get easy sales fast by doing so.

When it comes to affiliate marketing, the easiest and most effective way to go about it is to start a blog. Your blog should have both product reviews and articles on stuff that's going on in your niche. You will get traffic from both. You should also sign up with Aweber so that you can start building a list. This is how the gurus make so many sales in such a short period of time. Also, a certain number of visitors who come to your site via search traffic will automatically sign up to your list without you having to do much. Just make sure the niche you go into is profitable and one you like.
